The distinctive X shape of the base is your first indication that it's no ordinary iPod speaker. And as soon as you hear the OnBeat Xtreme in action, you'll know that looks are only part of the story.
Two high-performance tweeters produce clean, clear highs, while JBL's Hercules woofers live up to their name and give you brawny midrange and bass. All four speakers are regulated by a computer-optimized digital signal processor, ensuring accurate and natural sound reproduction. And it all comes at you with 120 watts of power, giving you room-filling sound and then some.
Wirelessly stream music from virtually any Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, PDA, tablet or computer and get great sound. The OnAir Xtreme uses Bluetooth A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) for less distortion and more accurate and detailed sound from your player.
And remember: you can enjoy more than just the music stored on your device. Get the full impact of the movie you're watching on your tablet, or hear all the sound effects in the game you're playing on your smartphone. Listen to your favorite Internet radio station or music service. If you can hear it on your device, you can hear it better through the OnBeat Xtreme.
Is that a call coming in on your smartphone? No problem the OnBeat Xtreme has a built-in microphone so you can carry on conversations through the system while your Bluetooth phone stays docked.
Whether you have an iPod nano®, iPod classic, an iPhone, or an iPad, the OnBeat Xtreme can handle it. And the cradle rotates to hold your player in either a vertical or horizontal position. The system comes with a detachable adapter for an iPad, and holds your tablet securely.
best system for the price. just wish JBL supports the new Apple Lighting connector. I use a adaptor and it works fine. Bluetooth sounds really really good too.
Pros: great sound
Cons: for the older iPhones, new iPhones need adaptor
As an audiophile on a serious note, you can not go wrong with JBL ONBEAT XTREME. I tried almost all the docks of the same price range and cadre ( Bose, Sony, Harman Kardon, iPhone, etc) and none pleased me like the JBL ONBEAT XTREME. The bass, the treble and twitters are well equalized. Sound quality passed my expectation. The design is one of a kind and could pass as one of the decorations in the room. JBL used very strong durable material to build this. It serves well in a large room and I have been using it non- stop now in my second living room for two week sometimes at the highest volume.Bluetooth connection and docking of I phone, iPod or iPad is a breeze. For the fact that the voltage is 110 - 240 makes this a must travelling system since you don't need any step down. I am taking this on vacation to Europe and Africa without worrying about the electric current. Of course there is no better place to get this than at Crutchfied because of their Excellent services and support; I strongly doubt that you will return this product to Crutchfield even after 60 days. I plan to keep mine forever.
Pros: QUALITY, PERFECT SOUND, DESIGN AND POTABILITY
Cons: I don't think this could be powered with batteries otherwise it will be a plus.
Damn what a sound!!! Read the reviews, didn't want to beleive them, but this is the best dock I have heard! The clearity is crystal clear, at full volume, absolutly no destorstion. Prety spendy but "You get what you pay for".
Pros: Huge sound from small speaker
Cons: Stero speration
Strange configuration but truly provides most bang for your bucks! Simple to set up & use. Versatile iProduct. Amazing clarity regardless of volume. Though the sound is room filling, there is a 'sweet spot' to recreate the soundstage. Great example of getting what you pay for. Highly recommended!
Cons: None observed at this time.
Great product and blows away all others. Bluetooth works great and system is very loud. System sounds much larger than it is with great clarity and base.
Cons: None but a little expensive. But you get what you pay for.A
The reviews on the crutchfield website are all spot on. The room filling sound that comes out of such a small box is astounding. The clarity is superb, the tonal balance is buttery smooth. Blue tooth connectivity takes 30 seconds right out of the box and works in the next room 20 feet away through walls. You would be hard pressed to find a better iPhone/pad/pod dock for the price, let alone one so stylish, outstanding job JBL!
Pros: Size, style, bass, balance, SOUND.
Cons: There is a bit of hiss (feedback) at the highest volumes when listening to classical music, but I find it infrequent and tolerable.
The size of this unit may at first fool you, smaller table top unit=small table top sound? Not at all! Once the music begins........you'll see what I mean!!!! AMAZING!!!! Someone made a comment to me that it sounds better than their $2000.00 car stereo set up and even better than their Bose system!! I can't say enough good about it!!
Pros: Well worth every penny spent!!
Great sound. Whether using Bluetooth or connecting to the dock for charging purposes, great great product.
Pros: Great sound. Very versatile.
Cons: It could cost a little less but hey.....
This product is fantastic! I can't believe the sound quality and wow the reviews are spot on. I really like it and am happy with it. Bluetooth connection is easy and when connected you can even use it as speakerphone? Wow!
This thing sounds RIDICULOUSLY good! Bass is incredible, setup is easy and love the bluetooth. Best dock out there, period!
This can fill an entire room full of sound! So happy with my dock purchases, all of them. The bass on this thing though FAR exceeds anything I've heard. This thing is truly remarkable and the bluetooth works great too
For the money, you can't beat the sound, it's incredible! Classic JBL engineering and performance at it's best. I'm very pleased with this. The bluetooth connection is genius and works flawlessly with a super simple setup.
