Big sound

Inside the Pulse are two 1-1/2" full-range drivers that deliver clean, clear sound, with a bass port that reinforces the low tones. Thanks to JBL's advanced digital signal processing, the Pulse can produce rich, full sound despite its compact design.

Tap-to-pair with NFC

The Pulse also has NFC (Near Field Communication). Just touch a compatible portable device — such as a smartphone or tablet — to the system for instant wireless pairing. Then with one touch you can play music, or stream audio from videos and games through the Pulse. All without wires and without logging into a network.

Hours of fun

The Pulse's built-in chargeable battery delivers up to 5 hours of music and lights (or up to 10 hours of just music). The system comes with a USB adapter and mini USB charging cable. An auxiliary input lets you play non-Bluetooth portable devices through the system, too.

Get a Sony HWS-BTA2W Bluetooth transceiver. It will allow you to transmit (or receive) to/from Bluetooth devices. It will allow you to transmit to the JBL or alternately receive audio from your cellphone (or Laptop) assuming these have bluetooth built-in.

Got it home; charged it up. But it won't play my Pandora music station. Pulse is sitting right near the cellphone, but won't play. Help, anyone?

Turn on your Bluetooth on your phone, then push the Bluetooth button on the Pulse. You will hear a beep and it is ready to sync. It should show up in your list on your phone. Select it and it should pair. You will then be able to hear the audio from your phone. Hope this helps.

Do you have the pulse app downloaded from iphone or android app store? Open the app and it will ask you to turn on the speaker to pair your phone with the speaker thru Bluetooth.
