Apple® controls and some cool cable management features

Nobody wants to take a call while they're pumping iron. But if you can manage to free one hand for just a second, you can do it with these headphones. The in-line remote and microphone allow easy hands-free conversations with an iPhone®. The three-button remote also lets you play and pause music, skip tracks, and adjust volume with other Apple portable devices. The cable's length can also be adjusted. Shorten it for times when your smartphone is strapped to your bicep, or use the included extension cable if your device is clipped along your enviably small waistline. When you need a water break, the magnetic earpieces let you connect them and wear around your neck until you're ready for another heart-pumping session.

i struggle keeping earbuds in my ear when running, but these do a good job staying in. The sound quality is great for the price, and the inline control works well so far (i've already run in a light rain with it).

Pros: they stay in my ear, the sound quality is good (really really good for the price), the shorter chord design works well when running (with my phone in an arm-band)

Cons: its sometimes hard to distinguish the middle control button from the volume buttons

Good Bass, but somethings missing (though decent high freq handling) , not able to figure out .. for complete freq range feels some notes are not realstic

Pros: cool looking , right fit, strong wires

Cons: some freq range seems to be not handled or at reduced vol level ... not able to figure out what exactly missing ...

I bought these to replace a pair of Sony bluetooth earbuds that cost twice as much and died after a month! I decided I can live with the wire, and simpler is better. I wasn't thrilled at first, because I didn't really understand how to wear them - I had to stand in the mirror and figure out where the little hook on the earpiece goes, and so on... but now it's clear to me, this is just a fine little pair of earphones. I listen to classical and jazz while I'm on the elliptical, and I'm very satisfied - you get the JBL sound - warm, great-sounding bass, but overall a faithful rendition of how the music is recorded, with very little noise. They sound much better than that more expensive model I mentioned. Incidentally I'm using them with an Android phone, so the volume controls and microphone don't work (they are designed for Apple devices), but I recommend this model to anybody.

Pros: They sound great and block out most of the ambient sound, and that keeps me on the exercise machine. They don't fall out even when I'm sweating.

Cons: I don't care for the cutesy packaging - the overdesigned box with its little magnet and ribbon and layers of molded neoprene or whatever it is, strikes me as too showy and probably adds $5 to the cost of the earphones.

I like these headphones more in theory than in actuality. I think they look nice, have great sound, and do not tangle, but I cannot get them to sit comfortably in place in my ears. If I moved my head in the slightest, then they come loose and even fall out. My ears may not be suited for this kind of headphone tip.

Purchased these for my wife for general use, walking, etc. These headphones met all of my expectations other than the level of sound quality we hoped for. Clear with great highs, but little bass compared with my Bose in-ear and my son's wireless Beats ear-buds. Great price but I'm willing to spend a little more for exactly what I want. Am returning these for a pair of Bose FreeStyle. Crutchfield service on both purchases and starting the return process was exceptional.

Pros: Look great, well built, built in remote and mic for the price

Cons: Bass lacking compared to others I own

I used the default Apple ear buds for a while but I got tired of these never staying in place. These ear buds hold very well and come with 3 different size insets (eartips) to fit different ear sizes. The sound seems clearer than the Apple ear buds but this might just be because they stay in place. As for the noise cancellation, there's nothing active but since the insets fit fairly tight in the ear, they seal off external noises well.

Pros: Light Nice fit

Cons: Flat cables tend to wrap around Cable is short but comes with an extension. The connector for the extension adds a bit of weight

these work and sound much better than I expected, much better in fact - for me - than the 3x$$ Bose, great fit, short cord is nice, if used with an arm band would be perfect, connector for cord extension is a bit cumbersome however

Pros: great fit and sound at very reasonable cost

Cons:

I have had these for about 3 months now. I work outside in a bucket truck, in one position, sometimes for a couple of hours at a time. These headphones are very comfortable and more importantly, stay in my ears. i recently started walking (a little running, it's been a while) and haven't had any problems with these falling out of my ears. Sweat hasn't been a factor, noise cancellation would've been nice, but I didn't want to spend that much on Bose or something like that for what I need them for. The only thing that concerns me, is the Cord at the junction at which it meets solid rubber. It seams kind of flimsey, but time will tell. The extension piece makes it plenty long enough (I use it all of the time). I may try the same ones in the wirless version soon.

Pros: Comfort, fact that they stay in my ears, able to answer phone, change songs

Cons: Cord seems kind of questionable, but so far, so good. Can't change songs with bottons on device if it is hooked to a Sony Walkman, you have to change them on the Walkman itself.

Really good sound. Definite upgrade from my last ones. Had to try all the buds before I found the set comfortable and still stay in my ears. I would recommend them. I run on a treadmill and they stay in. I have to adjust every 15 min. I have very small ear canal and they fit well. Only drawback is the buds will fall off if not careful.

Pros: Good sound. Comfortable. As advertised.

Cons: Ear buds fall off while not in ise occasionally.

I had ear buds; however, they did not stay in my ears during workouts and the sound was not that great. These are fantastic because they stay in my ears, are comfortable, and the sound quality is wonderful. I have a hearing problem and with this product I can hear the music in both ears.

Pros: Fit, sound quality

Cons: Noise reduction and price

The best headphones I've ever owned. I've owned a lot of headphones, but all have had at least one problem w them, that is until I came across these. These headphones cancel noise around you, have great quality, are loud, have a shorter wire (and include a longer one) which is perfect for runs/working out, the wire is built to last so it won't tear or rip, are super comfortable, and don't fall out of your ears! I've never ordered from Crutchfield and didn't hear about them till I started looking up good ear buds for running. I read reviews and ordered them. The price for these headphones is unbelievable. I tried the beats by dre ear buds tour for running (more expensive) and they don't compare to these. I rarely leave reviews but everyone should know about this great product.

Pros: Sound quality Wire (won't rip/tear) Notice reduction Won't fall out Comfortable

Cons: None

Great sounding earbuds. They really reduce the amount of outside noise you can hear so you can lock into your music and into your workout. They are great for working out, as the earbuds lock in your ear. The wire is even reflective so you can be seen while running at night. As far as sound quality goes they sound outstanding for earbuds, even better than some over and on the ear models. The range is great, and they create surprisingly deep bass for earbuds. Remember to try all of the tips for the earbuds, as different sizes may work better for your ears. Me being a wrestler with cauliflower ear I had to put the small on the one side to get the buds to lock in. Overall great earbuds for in and out of the gym, but then again I bought JBL I wasn't expecting anything short of excellent.

Pros: Sound Great, Noise Reduction, Great for working out, great price compared to similar models

Cons: none

Good headphones

Pros: Great noise reduction with the ear fittings that come with it!

Cons: My only con is that despite its cool looks, after owning it for about 2 weeks, the volume button on the headphone itself doesn't work properly. One day it just stopped working. The next day, it worked for like 5 minutes, then, nothing. More often than not, it refuses to work at all. Crutchfield has agreed to replace it though, which is nice.

Features

Overview: The JBL Synchros Reflect-I in-ear sport headphones are designed for active lifestyles. The ergonomic ear buds stay in your ear as you go through your workout. They are equipped with a highly-reflective cable to give you added visibility at night. The Reflect-I model is specifically designed to work with Apple iOS devices, although it has some functionality with other devices.

Drivers and Cable: The headphones are equipped with premium 8.5mm drivers for solid bass response and clear highs. The headphones have an attached 24" cable which can be used with devices that are worn on the chest or arm. The 22" extension cable can be connected when more length is needed, such as when wearing the device on a belt, or in a purse, backpack, or pouch.

Compatibility: The in-line 3-button remote and microphone is compatible with iPod, iPhone, and iPad. The outer buttons turn the volume up or down as needed, while the center button's actions depend upon the number of times it is pressed. When pressed once, the button controls pause/play for music and answer/end phone calls. Two quick presses of the button skips your music to the next track, while three presses skips to the beginning to the current track. You can also activate fast forward or fast reverse by holding the button on the second or third press, respectively. The remote/mic works with iPod nano (4th generation or later), iPod classic (120GB, 160GB), iPod touch (2nd generation or later), iPhone 3GS or later, and iPad. Audio is supported by all iPod models and iPad.

Note: The center button will only control pause/play music and answer/end calls on other brands of smartphones.

Freebit Ear Tips: The JBL Synchros Reflect-I in-ear sport headphones include three pairs of Freebit ergonomic ear tips, making sure there's a size to fit most everyone. These ear tips are angled to match your ear canal, and have flanges that help keep them in your ears, even during the most rigorous activities.

Magnetic Cable Management: Each ear bud has a magnet at the back of the ear bud that enables you to keep them securely clasped together around your neck when they're not in use.

Q & A

Customer Q&A

Crutchfield asked
Why did you buy this?

I bought one for my son, last year. He says it delivers more bass and detail than the Apple ear phones you get with apple products. It really stays on the ear and it is extremely comfortable. [ David  Dec 16, 2015 ]
generally good reviews and cost [ Paul  Jan 18, 2016 ]

3 questions already asked

Walter-- The volume controls do not work on Android, only the pause/play button which works for music and answering/hanging up calls. [ Jonathan  Mar 06, 2015 ]
Hi Walter i bought them for my son who uses it with his iPhone and they work great. I really do not know with an android device. [ MARK  Mar 06, 2015 ]
You may have dropout issues . It happens sometimes if I use them with my pc. But never with my Mac or iphone. [ Ryan  Mar 06, 2015 ]
I play music from my Samsung phone, but the in-line controls don't respond. [ Bob  Mar 06, 2015 ]
Mine worked great with my Android phone and tablet with minimal, if any, loss of functionally. Volume buttons doubled as track shipping for music when held in for a few seconds, call answer worked and doubled as pause button for music. These are also the best ear buds I've ever owned, with superior sound quality. You definitely want them! [ Michael  Mar 06, 2015 ]
Adam, sorry ... I have an iPhone 6 and they are great. They are comfortable in the ear, stay in when running, and have a full sound. I would order them and try it through the phone ... if they are not good, return them. You can do this without taking them all apart. We like them ... bought 4 pairs ... unfortunately we all are using them with an iPhone. Good luck! [ Kathleen  Sep 02, 2015 ]
Adam, these were bought as a gift for my son who has an iPhone 6, so I cannot speak to the volume on a Samsung. [ KENNETH  Sep 01, 2015 ]
Yes, you do. The headphones plug into whatever device you are listening to. [ Laura  Nov 11, 2014 ]
If you do not have a device that allows you to strap your phone to your arm, yes. I usually workout in shorts with pockets and just carry my phone in my pocket while listening with the headphones. Hope this helps [ Elliot  Nov 11, 2014 ]
The cord is plenty long for me, and I use them on runs and while working. Best in-ear headphones I've had. [ Talo  Nov 11, 2014 ]
