Since 1925, Jensen has been a pioneer in home and car electronics, developing landmark products such as the first high-efficiency loudspeaker and the first aftermarket car speaker. Now Jensen has partnered with DUB® magazine, the leading publication in the urban automotive lifestyle market, to introduce DUB Edition speakers and amplifiers, featuring DUB-designed cosmetics and co-designed components.
The DUB Series DUBa1450 mono subwoofer amplifier will send up to 400 watts RMS to your subs, while its variable low-pass and subsonic filters and bass boost let you zoom in on the sound you want. This Class AB amp uses a MOSFET power supply and high-current output transistors to deliver strong, reliable power, and it features full short-circuit, DC offset, and thermal protection, so the music won't stop until you want it to. And why would you want it to? You've got DUB on the case.
You might think you don't need an amp because you have a 400-watt system in your car, or because your new stereo puts out 50 watts a channel. But those are peak wattage ratings, which may boil down to 15 or 20 watts per channel, using the more realistic RMS rating. An amp sends your speakers the power they need to deliver your music with clarity and impact, whether you're using factory speakers or high-performance components. And low-frequency reproduction requires lots of power, so an amp is an absolute must if you're adding a sub to your system.
on the " DUB " amp
Pros: Havent been able to try it yet :( ..It looks nice..?
Cons: well...i hooked this amp up, and with the 4GA Stinger amp kit, cant get the amp to do anything :( the amp and " bass " adjuster light up red and no sound goes to amp. i even double checked everything 3 times and still no sound outa subs. i tried switching the subs out with subs i know work and still get the same thing, no sound... i called jenson 1st and they werent much help., they blamed it on the amp kit,,,called stinger...they blamed it on the Amp... so far at a standstill with everything :(Crutchfield response on March 23, 2015 We forwarded this review to our Technical Support team for follow-up. This amp was extremely powerful and can hold its own. Installed with a pair of JL's 12WXv2 and even with the levels on the amp set at half it still made the car shake.
Pros: Great sound, great price, great for showing off

Overview: The Jensen DUB Edition amplifiers offer performance and value for your vehicle's sound system. With a MOSFET power supply and high-current Toshiba bi-polar output transistors, the DUB amps provide lots of power and control to give your music impressive punch and clarity. The Class AB design reduces idle current and minimizes distortion.
Power Output: The DUBa1450 mono block amplifier delivers the following power output:
Protection Circuitry: The amplifier features protection circuitry for thermal overload, DC-offset, and short circuits. The LED on the top of the amp glows yellow if a fault is detected.
Pass-thru RCAs: The DUBa1450 has a pair of RCA connectors that allow you to connect additional amplifiers without having to use a Y-adapter. The line output is unfiltered, providing the same signal as the RCA input.
End Caps: The DUB Edition amps include end caps to cover the wiring and controls for a clean installation. The end caps can be painted to match your vehicle, if desired. The end cap brackets can be removed if you wish to install the amp without the end caps.
Input Level: The DUBa1450's rotary gain control let you match the amp's input sensitivity to the output of the source unit. The input sensitivity range of the amplifier is continuously variable between 400mV and 5V. A small screwdriver (not included) is required to set the gain.
Remote Input Level Control: The amp includes a Remote Input Level Control module with a 5-meter (16.5') 6-pin modular cable. You can adjust the input level of the amplifier from the driver's seat or an alternate location. This allows you to tune the amount of bass you want for different types of music. The module can be mounted under or in the dash.
Low-pass Filter: The amp features a 12 dB/octave low-pass filter that is adjustable from 40 to 300 Hz.
Sub Sonic Filter: The Sub Sonic filter removes ultra-low frequencies that cannot be reproduced by most subwoofers. These frequencies do not become sound, but unnecessary oscillations which affect sound by causing distortion. These frequencies also waste amplifier power and can cause damage to speakers. The filter's crossover point is variable from 10 to 40 Hz with a slope of 12 dB/octave.
Bass Boost: The DUBa1450 has a 0 to 12dB bass boost, centered at 45Hz.
Set-screw Terminals: The Jensen DUBa1450 uses set-screw terminals for the +12V power, ground, turn-on (remote) lead, and speaker outputs. The set-screws can be tightened/loosened with a Phillips-head screwdriver (not provided).
Power/Ground: The +12V Power and Ground terminals will accept up to 4 AWG wire. You should use at least an 8-gauge power wire to the battery, with an in-line 60A fuse installed no more than 18" from the battery terminal. An 8 AWG ground wire (minimum) should be used, and attached to a metal area close to the amplifier.
Remote Turn-On: The Remote set-screw terminal will accept up to 8 AWG wire. Typically, an 18 AWG turn-on lead is included in an amplifier wiring kit.
Low-Level Input: The amplifier is equipped with a pair of RCA inputs for connecting a stereo RCA patch cable from the head unit to the amp. A stereo RCA line output is also provided for daisy-chaining another amplifier without requiring a Y-adapter.
Speaker Outputs: The amp features two positive and two negative set-screw terminals for connecting one or two speakers. For maximum power, it is recommended that you configure the speakers for a nominal 2-ohm load. The terminals will accept up to 8 AWG wire, however, it is recommended that you use a minimum of 12 AWG wire.
