About the Jensen DUBa2100
Jensen + DUB
Jensen + DUB
Since 1925, Jensen has been a pioneer in home and car electronics, developing landmark products such as the first high-efficiency loudspeaker and the first aftermarket car speaker. Now Jensen has partnered with DUB® magazine, the leading publication in the urban automotive lifestyle market, to introduce DUB Edition speakers and amplifiers which feature DUB-designed cosmetics and co-designed components.
Good news for your cruise
The DUB Series DUBa2100 stereo amplifier will send 80 watts RMS to each of your speakers, while its variable frequency filters and bass boost let you zoom in on the sound you want. The DUBa2100 can also be wired to drive a single channel at 235 watts for a 4-ohm load, making it a good choice for driving a subwoofer as well. This Class AB amp uses a MOSFET power supply and high-current output transistors to deliver strong, reliable power, and it features full short-circuit, DC offset, and thermal protection, so the music won't stop until you want it to. And why would you want it to? You've got DUB on the case.

Features
Overview: The Jensen DUB Edition amplifiers offer performance and value for your vehicle's sound system. With a MOSFET power supply and high-current Toshiba bi-polar output transistors, the DUB amps provide lots of power and control to give your music impressive punch and clarity. The Class AB design reduces idle current and minimizes distortion.
Power Output: The DUBa2100 2-channel amplifier delivers the following power output:
- CEA Specifications: RMS power output @ 1% THD+N, 20-20kHz, 14.4 VDC:
- 80 watts x 2 @ 4 ohms
- 120 watts x 2 @ 2 ohms
- 235 watts x 1 bridged mono @ 4 ohms
- RMS Power Output @ 2% THD+N, 1 kHz, 14.4 VDC:
- 85 watts x 2 @ 4 ohms
- 125 watts x 2 @ 2 ohms
- 240 watts x 1 bridged mono @ 4 ohms
Protection Circuitry: The amplifier features protection circuitry for thermal overload, DC-offset, and short circuits. The LED on the top of the amp glows yellow if a fault is detected.
Pass-thru RCAs: The DUBa2100 has a pair of RCA connectors that allow you to connect additional amplifiers without having to use a Y-adapter. The line output is unfiltered, providing the same signal as the RCA input.
End Caps: The DUB Edition amps include end caps to cover the wiring and controls for a clean installation. The end caps can be painted to match your vehicle, if desired. The end cap brackets can be removed if you wish to install the amp without the end caps.
Controls
Input Level: The DUBa2100's rotary gain control let you match the amp's input sensitivity to the output of the source unit. The input sensitivity range of the amplifier is continuously variable between 400mV and 5V. A small screwdriver (not included) is required to set the gain.
Crossover: The amp features a 12 dB/octave crossover that is adjustable from 40 to 300 Hz. A 3-way switch lets you configure the crossover for high-pass or low-pass operation, or switched to full-range to defeat the crossover.
Bass EQ: The DUBa2100 has a 0 to 12dB bass EQ, centered at 45Hz. This is useful for varying the amount of bass if you're running the amp in bridged mono for a subwoofer. Ported and Bandpass enclosures should be limited to approximately +6dB to +9dB of boost, while sealed enclosures should be able to accept the full +12dB of boost.
Mono/Stereo Switch: The Mono/Stereo switch should be set to Stereo when you have a 2-channel input from the head unit. If there is only a single input from the source unit, you can drive both channels of the amp from the single input by switching to Mono.
Connections
Terminals: The Jensen DUBa2100 uses screw terminals for the +12V power, ground, turn-on (remote) lead, and speaker outputs. The screws can be tightened/loosened with a Phillips-head or flat-head screwdriver (not provided).
Power/Ground: The +12V Power and Ground terminals will accept spade connectors up to 7/16" (0.4375") wide. It is recommended that you use an 8 AWG power wire to the battery, with an in-line 25A fuse installed no more than 18" from the battery terminal. An 8 AWG ground wire (minimum) should be used, and attached to a metal area close to the amplifier.
Remote Turn-On: The Remote screw terminal will accept a spade connector up to 5/16" (0.3125"). Typically, an 18 AWG turn-on lead is included in an amplifier wiring kit.
Low-Level Input: The amplifier is equipped with a pair of RCA inputs for connecting a stereo RCA patch cable from the head unit to the amp. A stereo RCA line output is also provided for daisy-chaining another amplifier without requiring a Y-adapter.
Speaker Outputs: The amp features two positive and two negative screw terminals for connecting two speakers in stereo. To bridge the amp, you should connect the left + and the right - terminal to the speaker. The terminals will accept a spade connector up to 5/16" (0.3125") wide. It is recommended that you use a minimum of 12 AWG wire.
Tri-Mode: The amp is capable of being connected in Tri-Mode to drive a pair of full-range speakers and a subwoofer. A passive Tri-Mode crossover (or capacitors and inductors) should be connected to high-pass the full-range speakers and low-pass the subwoofer.
