Jensen's JCAM1 rear-view camera takes the guesswork out of backing up. The camera supplies a wide 130-degree horizontal view that's an invaluable aid when you shift into reverse in a tight spot.

The camera's composite video connection makes it an ideal match for almost all video receivers with a rear-view camera input. Jensen includes a 23-3/4' video cable that runs from the rear camera to the video screen in the front of your vehicle, along with a 6-1/2' power/ground cable.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

My Camera also Leaked in Water. I think it came from the wires into the unit. Also worked great for 9 months. Took it apart, cleaned it, and sealed the wires. We'll see.

Pros: good picture.

Cons: Not weathproof

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Very pleased with this camera. I mounted it under the rear bumper and it provides a great view.

Pros: Very good picture and angle. Has no problem with providing a good picture at night with the light from the back-up lights.

Cons: None.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Finally took the time to install my Jenson rear view camera. Very easy to install to my system. Wiring very direct and easy. Routing wiring from rear wheels back on my Avalanche took time making sure everything was wire tied and secure. Camera is very clear and my wife says she is going to really like it when backing up the large vehicle. No problems yet and dont anticipate any.

Pros: Clear pic on monitor,,,,easy to operate

Cons: Istructions say connections are not waterproof and should be made inside vehicle,,,used waterproof tape and wrapped all connections when routing wiring.

Simple camera

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

As I decided on the Jensen VM9324 for my 2005 Tacoma DoubleCab TRD-Sport, suddenly Crutchfield offered this Jensen camera free. I love it so far. I must say, I wouldn't pay this much for it. It's a simple fish-eye lens, with no markers or guidelines built in.

This doesn't give you much in terms of versatility. It comes with 1 piece of 2-sided stick tape shaped like the base that the camera sits on & 2 holes for 2 screws. I installed the camera next to my trailer hitch as far down on the rubberized plastic part that sits in the middle of my bumper above my hitch & below my license plate. There is a sticker on either side of the camera, 1 came off easily, the other did not (says, "warranty void if removed" which is stupid because it's on the top side for all to see). So I took that off & it removed the paint! I tried to use black metal paint, but it just didn't want to be painted. So I used paint thinner & carefully made it look like the top of the camera was stainless steel (which it is). Looks fine.

If you install the camera as it looks in this Crutchfield picture, the image will be looking left but will be upside down! ;-) All you have to do is swivel the camera to the position you want then tighten the screws on the side (shown as the chrome/silver screws in the Crutchfield pic above). I used 5 min epoxy on those 2, as well as the 2 screws that I used to screw into my bumper just for extra reinforcement.
