An iPod adapter allows you to connect your iPod to your car stereo, then access your playlists with your stereo's controls - a great idea for several reasons. One, you can scroll through your song titles on your stereo's larger display, instead of squinting down at your iPod. Two, you can route the adapter cable to your glove compartment or center console, so your iPod stays safely out of sight. Three, the iPod adapter keeps your iPod fully charged, so it's ready to rock when you leave your car. And last of all, some adapters bypass your iPod's internal digital-to-analog converter, using your stereo's superior DAC to turn your files back into music. Need to replace the iPod cable that came with your 2006 or newer Jensen stereo? Here's your solution. This direct replacement plugs into your iPod's dock connector and then into the changer port on the back of your stereo you'll regain full playback control over your iPod library in no time. Your Jensen stereo will display text information like song category, track name, and artist while you listen. And the cable still charges your iPod's battery while it's connected. Note: You'll have to disconnect your Jensen CD changer in order to use the JLINK. Warranty: 30 days. Note: Be sure to check "Hands-on Research" for specific iPod model compatibility with this iPod adapter. Hands-on research from the Crutchfield Labs (what are the Labs?) One was for the Jensen VM9412 in my F-150 and the other was used on my Jensen Marine stereo used in my aftermarket motorcycle fairing used on my Harley Davidson. The JLink cable allows you to control the IPod through your stereo head unit just as advertised. The only drawback was that on the Jensen VM9412, this particular cable doesn't allow you to view any video from your IPod. You can hear it, but not view it. Overall though, the JLink cables worked well. Was this review helpful?
