Cool-running Class D powerhouse
Jensen's Power 2000.1D mono subwoofer amplifier will pump up your bass with up to 900 watts RMS — enough to power an impressive sub setup. This small but powerful amp will fit in a lot of different places in your vehicle, so you'll have plenty of installation options. A plastic sleeve encapsulating each power and speaker connector eliminates the possibility of a short circuit. The amp's stable down to 1 ohm, so it's ideal for multiple sub setups.
Adjustable for perfect sound
The Power 2000.1D comes equipped with a low-frequency filter so you can shape the sound to best fit your sub and enclosure. A subsonic filter and a phase switch allow you to fine-tune the bass sound for any system. The amp also features a bass boost for some extra thump, and a wired remote level controller to dial in the right amount of bass from the front seat.

My system has plenty of power. Who needs an amp?
You might think you don't need an amp because you have a 400-watt system in your car, or because your new stereo puts out 50 watts a channel. But those are peak wattage ratings, which may boil down to 15 or 20 watts per channel, using the more realistic RMS rating. An amp sends your speakers the power they need to deliver your music with clarity and impact, whether you're using factory speakers or high-performance components. And low-frequency reproduction requires lots of power, so an amp is an absolute must if you're adding a sub to your system.
Jensen POWER 2000.1D Reviews
Average Customer Review:
I have this hooked up to a pair of Treo RSX 12.44 12 inch subwoofers and wow. The new Jensen products are worlds apart from the old Jensen. I have this amp 1/4 of the way up and its trying to shake my truck apart with clear clean bass. Highly recommended for anyone on a budget that who wants to still bass up the block.
Pros: Price. Small size. Rms watts.
Cons: Still a Jensen but man is nice.

5-Channel Full-Range Amplifier: The Jensen Power 2000.1D is a monoblock, class-D amplifier, designed to run subwoofers. It comes with a Remote Input Level Control that allows you to vary the volume of the amplifier from the front seat of the vehicle.
CEA-2006 Compliant: CEA-2006 is a system of testing and measurement methods for mobile audio amplifiers. This voluntary standard advocates a uniform method for determining an amplifier's RMS power output and signal-to-noise ratio. The criteria for measuring power uses a DC input voltage of 14.4 volts and the RMS power output is measured into a 4-ohm load at 10-300Hz bandwidth with 1% or less Total Harmonic Distortion plus noise (THD+N). Signal-to-Noise ratio is measured in weighted absolute decibels (dBA) at a reference of 1 watt into 4 ohms. CEA-2006 allows consumers to compare car amplifiers and receivers on an equal basis. Following the CEA-2006 criteria, the power ratings for the amplifier include:
- 425 Watts RMS x 1 channel into 4 ohms @ <1% THD+N
- 675 watts RMS x 1 channel into 2 ohms @ <1% THD+N
- 900 watts RMS x 1 channel into 1 ohm @ <1% THD+N
Note: The following manufacturer's power specs, displayed on the box and in the manual, are measured @ 2% THD+N, 1 kHz, and 14.4 Volts DC:
- 450 watts RMS x 1 channel into 4 ohms
- 725 watts RMS x 1 channel into 2 ohms
- 1000 watts RMS x 1 channel into 1 ohm
Gain Controls: The Power 2000.1D features a rotary gain control. The line input will accept signals between 400mV and 4.0 Volts.
Crossovers: The amp has a continuously variable low-pass filter with a cutoff frequency of 40Hz-300Hz. The low-pass filter cannot be defeated. In addition, a non-defeatable 10-40Hz subsonic filter cuts out ultra-low frequencies which rob power from the amplifier and speakers can't reproduce.
Phase Switch: The Phase Switch lets you select the polarity of the output at 0° (normal polarity) or 180° (inverted polarity). To determine the appropriate phase setting, you should perform a sound test with each setting and set the phase switch at the position that produces the fullest and most dynamic bass.
Bass Boost: The amp features a continuously variable Bass Boost, adjustable from 0 to +12dB, and centered at 45Hz. This allows different subwoofer/enclosure combinations to be equalized. The control lets you increase the level of low bass available from the subwoofer/enclosure combination. Ported and Bandpass enclosures should be limited to about +6dB to +9dB of boost, while sealed enclosures should be able to accept the full +12dB of boost, if necessary.
Power/Ground/Turn-On Terminals: The amplifier features set-screw terminals for the power, ground, and remote turn-on connections. The Power and Ground connections will accept up to 4 AWG power wire, while the turn-on lead terminal will accept 18 to 8 AWG wire. A Phillips-head screwdriver (not supplied) is required for tightening or loosening the set-screws.
Speaker Output Terminals: The Power 2000.1D amplifier's ten set-screw speaker terminals will accept 16 to 8 AWG speaker wire. A minimum of 12 AWG speaker wire is recommended by the manufacturer. A Phillips-head screwdriver (not supplied) is required for tightening or loosening the set-screws.
Preamp Inputs/Outputs: The amplifier is equipped with a pair of RCA jack inputs, and a pair of RCA jack outputs. The Preamp Outputs allow you to pass the input signal to another amplifier (daisy chaining) without having to run an extra set of patch cables from the head unit.
Remote Input Level Control: The amplifier features a 3.5mm connector for connecting the supplied wired Remote Input Level Control. With Remote Input Level Control, you can control the volume of all channels from the front of the vehicle. If the amp is used to drive subwoofers, and the low-pass filter is activated, the Remote Input Level Control can be used to control the bass level independent from the rest of the system. The Remote Input Level Control has a 16.25' cable.
