Why replace your car's original speakers?

The speakers that originally came in your car were made from inexpensive materials, designed to create acceptable sound at the lowest possible cost to the manufacturer. If you love music, you deserve better. Name-brand aftermarket speakers deliver fuller, richer sound with considerably more detail and nuance, and they're capable of playing louder and cleaner than factory speakers. Connect new speakers to your factory radio and you'll get the best possible sound from your dealer-equipped system. Pair them up with a new car stereo for a level of enjoyment that can rival a high-fidelity home audio experience.

Awesome Speaker!

Written By Rightstuffer, Texas on Saturday, May 23, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great replacement for stock speakers! Much deeper fuller sound, and the polyurethane cones are great for door speaker locations that can get wet. Big difference over stock speakers!

Pros: Great sound, low price, fits in stock locations.

Cons: Haven't found any yet!

Great price, great sound

Affordable replacement for Sienna woofers

Written By Vermonter, Boston on Wednesday, May 13, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought these as an inexpensive replacement for blown-out door woofers in a 2002 Toyota Sienna with the JBL sound upgrade. Despite these being a "value" product, I'm very happy with the sound I'm getting. The JBL speakers always had a thump-y quality I never really liked, and these seem to provide a more natural (to my ears) sound. Crutchfield's installation instructions and wiring adapter functioned perfectly, making for about a 30-minute-per-door repair.

Pros: Low cost Decent bass output despite small size

Cons: None yet

inexpensive alternative

Written By Kevin, Texas on Wednesday, May 13, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These speakers offer good quality at an affordable price. They could probably benefit from a small amp, as they really sound the best at about 90% volume from my GM stock head unit. The mids are tight and the highs are crisp. You will need to compliment with a sub if you are looking for bass.

Pros: affordable. tight mids. crisp highs.

Cons: lack bass and punch when paired with stock head unit

Sound way better than stock

Cheap slightly better than factory replacement

Written By abauer, Illinois on Monday, May 11, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Exactly what I was looking for, A cheap replacement just to hear music. Don't care about the bass or anything, I have a sub for that. Nothing fancy just a simple speaker.

Pros: Cheap, decent sound, installed easy

Cons: If you are wanting bass or anything then these aren't for you

These speakers are a huge improvement over the factory units and fit my needs perfectly! Installation was easy - hardest part was figuring out how to use the adaptor rings.

Pros: Great value and sound

Cons: Probably not what you'd want with a high powered system

Clean sound for the price

Written By jitmopper, Ocean Springs, MS on Monday, May 04, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Needed to replace all 4 door speakers in my Silverado and wasn't interested in spending a bunch of money. Good, clean sound on mids and highs. I wasn't expecting much bass, but they deliver decently depending on the type of music being played. Running through stock head unit (8 watts, RMS, maybe) they can handle high volume.

For the money, excellent product.

Pros: Price, clean sound at higher volume.

Cons: Bass is weak, but it's a full-range speaker.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased two sets (4) of these speakers to replace the factory speakers in my 4-door 2004 Colorado crew cab. Installation was a cinch with the wiring harness and mounting brackets provided by Crutchfield. I paired the speakers with a Kenwood DNX571HD radio that I had recently installed and the improvement in the sound was phenomenal. Outstanding value!

Pros: Easy installation, good sound, great value

Significant improvement

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Pulled speakers from 2004 Honda Accord. Holding new and old speakers in hand, I could feel how cheap the OEM paper speakers are. After install, WOW, what a huge difference in sound quality. If you have 10 year old OEM paper speakers, upgrade them. You won't regret. I also upgraded rear speakers and stereo. Sounds even better.

Pros: Car specific wiring harness included. No soldering required. Ease of install will vary of course depending on car. Crutchfield gives good instructions.

Cons: none really.

Entry level speakers to replace the OEM in door speakers. Great sound for the price. JVC Kenwood products have never let me down before and still prove to be a great investment.

Pros: Best fit for the OEM GM 6.5" speakers. Good crisp sound, perform like speakers 3x their price.

Cons: None as of yet!!

Good cost effective OEM replacment

Written By WM, New York on Tuesday, April 21, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Good speakers for OEM replacement in a 2006 GMC Sierra. What really clinches this is Crutchfield's free inclusion of the instructions, mounting kit and wiring harness adapter that makes makes installation a snap. Don't even think about buying bare speakers form a big box store without these extras.

Pros: Good sound, great bundle with the mounting kit.

Cons: Not a significant upgrade over factory sound, consider an upgrade to a higher end speaker based on what you will save by getting the installation kit free.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Bought these to replaces my front speakers in my civic. I also bought the mounting bracket "scosche sahc634"......can not say anything bad about each product I bought but when installing these speakers on to the mounting brackets be aware that you will have to modify the speaker housing to allow the screw that holds the mounting bracket to the car to fit. Also the screws provided with the ospeakers are too long for the mounting bracket.

Pros: Slight modifications to speakers housing to allow mounting screw to hold.

Cons: May have to cut screws (provided by kenwood) to allow bracket to sit flush on car door.

Replaced GM factory door speakers

Written By Jim F, MN on Sunday, April 19, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The factory door speakers in my old Cjevy pickup rotted out their surrounds, so I picked these up for economy, and because they came with the mounting rings and wire harnesses to make it easy. I got what I wanted, and some decent sounding speakers, too. Full factory look was maintained.

Pros: Inexpensive, decent sounding, Crutchfield provided mounting ring and wiring harnesses for my vehicle for free, job was easy to install. Sounds decent.

Cons: A little tinny on the upper end, but responded ok to factory radio treble adjustment without losing to much body.

Nice

overall improvement from factory

Written By cchambers, Georgia on Tuesday, April 14, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The mid-range and treble are a notable improvement over the factory speakers in my 2006 Civic, but the bass is no better. Judging by the specs (frequency response & efficiency) I expected better bass even when running off the stock stereo's power, but the price still makes it worth it. Had it not been so inexpensive I would have give less stars. Still great bang for the buck.

Pros: low profile, cheap replacement for oem speakers. Mids and highs sounds modestly better than stock speakers.

Cons: No improvement in bass over stock speakers.

Ok, but not exceptional

Written By GregP, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, April 14, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased these Kenwood speakers to replace the factory ones in a 2007 Chevy Impala. I replaced the drivers door speaker before with ones from a junkyard because GM has the door chime "play" through that speaker. I puchased these Kenwood speakers and they are OK. I think the factory ones, as cheap as they were, sounded better. These speakes sound like a cheap pair of headphones IMO. In reality, I am not dissapointed due to the price that I paid, I never expected them to sound like a more expensive speaker.

Pros: Price, Crutchfield free accessory items which lead to easy installation, Quick shipping

Cons: Sound cheap
