6-3/4" 3-way speakers

The performers

Kenwood's Performance Series speakers employ a multi-driver design to give you articulate lows, clean vocals, and startling highs. Kenwood has incorporated the latest technology into these speakers, so you'll get the biggest sonic bang for your buck.

A whole new speaker

The KFC-1795PS 6-3/4" 3-way speakers feature a water-resistant paper cone with a new radial rib pattern, which increases speaker strength and delivers more responsive bass. The addition of a rubber surround ensures a new level of overall durability, so you'll be enjoying that fresh-from-the-box sound for years.

All the musical details are handled by the 1-9/16" tweeter and 1/2" supertweeter. Kenwood engineered a smoother listening experience with the Acoustic Sound Harmonizer, which uses slots on the mount which houses the tweeter and supertweeter to improve the progression into the higher frequencies. Grilles are included for custom in

Why replace your factory speakers?

The speakers that originally came in your car were made from inexpensive materials, designed to create acceptable sound at the lowest possible cost to the manufacturer. If you love music, you deserve better. Name-brand aftermarket speakers deliver fuller, richer sound with considerably more detail and nuance, and they're capable of playing louder and cleaner than factory speakers. Connect new speakers to your factory radio and you'll get the best possible sound from your dealer-equipped system. Pair them up with a new car stereo for a level of enjoyment that can rival a high-fidelity home audio experience.

Kenwood KFC-1795PS - Sounds Great

2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The speakers sound great in the front doors of my 2002 Silverado. The challenge was missing details from the Crutchfield an Kenwood instructions. Using the template that cuts out of the back of the speaker box you can determine where to drill the holes for mounting your speaker. The Kenwood provided kit supplies screws and clips that are typically used in sheetmetal to fasten the screws. So, drilling the holes slightly larger to permit using the clips I was ready to attach the speaker. The sheet metal is "rolled" in the front door speaker cutouts. The clips will not work. A call to Crutchfield support said I should have drilled smaller holes and not use the clips. I repeated with 4 new and smaller holes in the door to mount my speakers.

Pros: Sound great

Cons: Installation instructions require more detail with regard to rolled sheet metal in the 2002 Silverado front door speaker cutouts.

These spearkers are great, my subs sounds really good with them.

Good speakers challenging install

Written by: Tim from Lake City, fl on April 3, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Overall good gear but the fit was challenging. The install required cutting way more than expected for my application. (Front door of a 2006 envoy w/ factory basics) The application guide should really indicate 6.5" only. The scosche recommended bracket actually replaced the factory bracket for this location. In the end they sound better than what I had and I just had more time with a hacksaw than I liked.

Pros: Good looking and sounding gear with helpful support.

Cons: Required more cutting than I was expecting for the instructions.

Great upgrade from the Boston Acoustics that were there!

Pros: Easy to install after tearing apart my car and modifying boxes! I have a 1995 Nissan 300ZX Coupe with the Bose System, but original system had been replaced.

Cons: A little expensive, but I wanted the performance series over the sports series!

Great sound but does NOT fit 2003 suburban rear doorlocation

Written by: Houston54 from Texas on March 15, 2015

Great speakers but the CF fit guide is incorrect in specifying these as fitting the rear door location on a 2003 suburban. There is a speaker minting bracket in that location which this speaker will not fit. Even after modifying the bracket to make fit it causes an interference with power window. The 6.5 inch size will work though.

Pros: Great sound. Great price.

Cons: Inaccurate fit info= frustration

Crutchfield response on March 18, 2015 According to our database, these speakers should indeed fit the rear doors of your Suburban. If you purchased them from Crutchfield, give us a call. Our Tech Support team can help and would appreciate getting more information regarding the fit. Remember, when you purchase from Crutchfield, you also get our free tech support service to help with any problem or question that comes up when installing or using that product - anything from installation and hook up, to setting the clock. And if you didn't purchase your gear from us, you can still purchase our tech support to help you out of a jam.

Needs amplified

Written by: GetSomeAmerica from Wyoming on January 19, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I'll be honest it's not as good as I was hoping for, but my hopes were most likely unrealistic. I hooked these up in my 2008 Sierra. I have the factory Bose system and I was hoping these would be better because those speakers were almost on their last leg, I thought.. These speakers turned out to have an extremely similar sound. The super tweeter seems to produce crystal clear piercing treble though, whereas the woofer seems to lack a little bit. I'm waiting for my 1500w RMS subs to get delivered.. So I'm not worried about that. But the stock cheesy paper speakers put out more mid-range bass than these! Moral of the story, I bet these speakers treble would absolutely hurt when amplified by an aftermarket amp. So that's on the to do list. Rap music seems to lack, but when you get into metal/country/vocals type music.. These sound great! If you don't have subs and are looking for a speaker that puts out a lot of bass, this might not be for you.

Pros: Great acoustics as they claim with piercing treble. Would probably be very very loud if I had aftermarket amp.

Cons: Bass lacks a little in my opinion, don't get if you like a lot of bass out of your door speakers.

GREAT sounding speakers!

Written by: cnotslar from Washington on December 28, 2014

The speakers are quality for the money, I put them in my daughters Miata and had to do some customization on the install, if you do not have access to the range of tools that I do it would of been a bit more tedious, but with the use of a Dremel it was easy. I would put these in most any vehicle and dare you to tell the difference.

Pros: Awesome sound, easy to hook up, looks fantastic.

Cons: Door panel modifications were needed on the Miata, they did not swap over without any modifications as stated.

Kenwood KFC-1795PS into '05 Suburban

Written by: 57loboy from Palm Beach County, FL on October 29, 2014

Originally purchased these to go in the rear doors of my '05 Suburban. Fitment guide indicated they were a perfect fit except for potentially having to redrill the mounting holes. No big deal, that would have been fine. However, there was no physical way these speakers would have ever fit into the factory opening where the stock Bose speakers were. (even if mounting brackets were needed or included, which they were not). The size of the actual opening doesn't permit speakers of this size because of the way the window motor is mounted and the dimensions of the speaker frame itself wouldn't let it come close to fitting. After a call to tech support (excellent as always) and sending photos of the door, I used these in the front doors instead. They fit there and only had to redrill the mounting holes (again - not an issue at all). Tech support was puzzled as to why these were shown as a fit to the rear doors and had no explanation. As the truck is 10 years old, am surprised the fitment guide was as inaccurate as it was after this long. But - the speakers sound great. I kept the factory Bose tweeters on the a-pillars and the improvement is significant. Can't believe I waited this long to do the upgrade.

2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

If you have a premium system in your vehicle but want a little something extra, then you might want to look at more expensive speakers. These are a great inexpensive replacement for older or base speakers. I replaced a partial working set of component speakers in a Trailblazers front doors and these sounded just as good as the one working oem speaker. Just having 2 working speakers made it sound much better then it did, but i would have been disappointed if i was trying to improve on what was there. There was alittle triming i had to do to make these fit, but was not a big deal at all.

Pros: Inexpensive and sound just as good as some premium oem speakers. Can actually push these with a smallish amp.

Cons: Might not be the upgaded sound you were hopeing for.
