The Kenwood SiriusConnect CA-SR20V adapter lets you control a SIRIUS satellite radio with select Kenwood multimedia receivers. This adapter works with newer Kenwood stereos that use the KAB Bus system, letting you control either of the following:

  • the SC-C1 SiriusConnect universal tuner;
  • a compatible SIRIUS portable radio, like the Sportster, Starmate, Stratus, or Stiletto, together with a SiriusConnect vehicle kit.

The CA-SR20V adapter sends song text to the Kenwood stereo's display, and lets you browse SIRIUS channels by using your Kenwood stereo's controls. The adapter powers your satellite radio so you won't have to worry about your radio's battery running out. Warranty: 1 year.

Note: A subscription to SIRIUS is also required. Satellite radio service is available only within the lower 48 states — not available in Hawaii or U.S. territories. Limited service is available in Alaska.

Having this quality Kenwood cable available at Crutchfield along with the SIRIUS tuner, made the installation easy as pie. I was enjoying the 50's music in no time.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

There is not much to say about this. It is the required adapter to work between the Kenwood KOS-A300 and the SiriusXM SC-C1 receiver. It seems to be a very well made device. It would be nice if it came in different lengths for more installation options. I installed this in a Honda Civic and space is pretty tight.

Pros: Well made wire harness.

Cons: Short

Easy installation this product adapts your receiver to a sate light receiver. Self explanatory makes it easy to conceal the sate light receiver. Unit in the dash.

Pros: Simple install plug into back of radio.

Cons: Wished I purchased it sooner.

Warning does not fit all Kenwood--but may be a good fit

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Nothing is wrong with the product to deserve a bad rating but with this said: Bought this adapter with a KDC-BT755HD and a SiriusConnect Car-only Tuner as the website prompted during online purchase. Something is wrong with the Crutchfield website on this. When I received all my new gear and began installation it didn't fit. Called customer service and they said I actually needed the SiriusXM SXV200V1 tuner. They shipped out the correct tuner immediately with a return label. Do not buy this for your Kenwood without checking with tech support!!!

Pros:

Cons: Does NOT fit all Kenwood receivers!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Used this to connect a SIRIUS VDOC1 adapter (w/ Starmate 6) to a Kenwood BT-300 adapter (which was then connected to a KOS-A300 factory upgrade kit). All equipment works perfectly.

Pros: easy/quick install works as advertised

Cons:

Simple little adapter!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Since my Kenwood head-unit is a "smart unit" and doesn't require the Sirius adapter box, without this little cable adapter, I would have had a heck of a time trying to plug the Sirius radio into my head-unit, but this little baby saved the day!

Kenwood SiriusConnect™ Adapter

Alex from Chicago on 2/1/2009

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Does what it is supposed to. Just be careful because if you don't have a lot of room behind your headunit, the slighest sideways force will slightly off-center this piece, and cause you to not have any reception on your receiver.

Yes it will, its also nice to only have one device to work with on the dash. [ SAMUEL  Mar 21, 2015 ]
yes [ SEAN P  Mar 21, 2015 ]
It should. The whole point of connecting the dock to the head unit is to be able to control the device (sirius radio) from the head unit. Verify that your head unit can control the device. [ James  Jan 09, 2014 ]
