A radio revolution
Kenwood built an HD Radio™ tuner into their KDC-HD455U CD receiver, so you can join the ranks of radio fans who are stepping up their listening experience. You'll find participating stations all across the nation, broadcasting FM programs that approach CD quality and AM programs that are close to today's FM in sound quality, free of charge to listeners with the right gear. Other HD Radio advantages include the ability to tag tunes for later purchase at the iTunes store, and the access you'll enjoy to the additional programs offered by many stations.
This Kenwood's clean lines will look great in your dash.
Enjoy your music, however you get it
You can plug your iPod® or iPhone® into the front-panel USB input for easy navigation of your music library. This receiver's 24-bit digital-to-analog converter converts the music on your iPod, thumb drive, or CD with unerring accuracy so you enjoy detailed and lifelike sound.
If you enjoy listening to Pandora® Internet radio with your iPhone, you can use the receiver's controls to browse stations, plus rate and bookmark songs — all without having to pick up your phone. The handy front-panel auxiliary input lets you plug in other audio devices, like a Dock & Play satellite radio tuner.
Outstanding audio controls
The KDC-HD445U features a 3-band EQ, high- and low-pass filters, and selectable bass boost, a big step up from the simple bass and treble controls found on most factory radios. You can even switch quickly among the preset EQ curves to complement the type of music you're playing. Kenwood's Supreme Setting accentuates high-frequency info to put the sparkle back into your MP3, WMA, and AAC music.
