Connect the KTC-HR100MC HD Radio tuner to a compatible Kenwood in-dash stereo, and you'll be able to enjoy everything HD Radio has to offer. HD Radio moves traditional AM/FM into the digital age, bringing you FM stations with CD-quality sound and AM stations that sound as good as today's analog FM stations.
Thanks to the KTC-HR100MC's digital processing, you get none of the popping, hissing, and interference that plague analog radio signals. Plus, song title and artist details, along with other text information, show up on your stereo's display. You'll still receive current analog radio signals, but, if you tune to an HD Radio station, the tuner switches automatically to the digital signal for dramatically improved reception.
Multicasting, a highly anticipated HD Radio feature, allows a broadcaster to create up to three separate channels, each with unique content, on the same frequency. The KTC-HR100MC lets you access those multiple channels, as they become available, so you can enjoy a wider selection of entertainment and information.
A single cable connects the KTC-HR100MC to your compatible Kenwood stereo (compatible stereos will have the KTC-HR100MC listed as a Recommended Accessory). The tuner has a handy pass-through connection so that you can still hook up a Kenwood CD changer or a satellite radio to your system.
Note: Digital radio signals are not available in all areas, but more radio stations are upgrading to digital broadcasting every day.
