I had an mp3 player before, but now that I have the IPod and this cable, I use it ALL the time! I have not taken the IPod out of the car but once since I got it. With this cable, the IPod integrates with the Kenwood the way I would have designed it. It just makes sense. For example, when the radio is turned off, the IPod turns off. When I get a call (I have the blue-tooth for my Kenwood also) the IPod is paused. I have full control over my playlists, artist lists, genre lists and such. I also see the artist and or title of the song on the Kenwood so I don't have to dig for the IPod if I want to see the band.

If you have an Ipod you need this cable

I don't know if this is praise for the cable or for Kenwood. Either way this is a must if you are an Ipod geek like me. Once you get use to Kenwood's layout it is just as fast as having your Ipod in front of you. I have it hooked up to a DDX514 and I have 20 kids movies for my daughter on my Ipod that play flawlessly on the screen. If you have a high end Kenwood then this cable is a must. Good job Kenwood!

This is the way to go for an ipod itouch. I routed my wire to the glove box and works flawlessly with Kenwood head unit. Great integration!
