Kenwood's KCA-iP102 iPod cable is just like the cable that came with your iPod, so you can leave your iPod cable safe at home. Use this cable to connect your iPod to any 2011-up Kenwood car stereo that features direct iPod control via USB input. Warranty: 1 year.Note: Be sure to check "Details" for specific iPod model compatibility with this iPod cable.
An iPod adapter allows you to connect your iPod to your car stereo, then access your playlists with your stereo's controls - a great idea for several reasons. One, you can scroll through your song titles on your stereo's larger display, instead of squinting down at your iPod. Two, you can route the adapter cable to your glove compartment or center console, so your iPod stays safely out of sight. Three, the iPod adapter keeps your iPod fully charged, so it's ready to rock when you leave your car. And last of all, some adapters bypass your iPod's internal digital-to-analog converter, using your stereo's superior DAC to turn your files back into music.
Works great for my older IPOD
Pros: Works great interface's my older IPOD and controls it thru my new Kenwood deck
Cons: a little pricey
This product is great I ran it to my glove box to hide my ipod
heavy duty quality, i love that its shorter than the factory apple ipod cable so i dont have miles of cable runnng through m car lol
got what i wanted, a shorter ipod cable that might last longer than my original ipod cable, think its like 300 percent thicker, and i dont have miles of cable in the way, sweet
More substantial than the Apple cable. Ought to last !!!
The cable works fine and I have no problems with the function of the products connected through this cable.
Pros: It works.
Cons: The cable is no very flexible.
Solid build, glad I got it.
Connection worked flawlessly. Could not ask for a better fit.
Pros: Exactly worked as stated
Cable appears to be high quality construction. It had no problems connecting my iTouch to my Kenwood receiver.
Pros: It works
Nice heavy cable with a positive lock when it plugs in. Definitely better than the cable from Apple!
Pros: Heavy cable, positive lock when attached.
Cons: Cable could be a little longer
Great quality and design. Great clips to lock the cable into my iphone.
Pros: Great design, very sturdy, well constructed.
Nice HD cable
Pros: Heavy duty
Cons: A little pricey
works for full speed connection
Pros: works well
Cons: gets in the way a litte sometimes
This cable is exactly what i needed. I was not aware that Kenwood made these, and almost purchaced an Apple cable. The apple cable was so thin it started to break at each end where I could see the exposed wires. I was amazed how thick the Kenwood cable was, and i know it will last me much longer because of it. My only gripe might be that i wish the cord was shorter so i didnt need to tuck so much out of sight. But i will happily take it being longer for the quality of it.
Nice that its a little thicker, just could be more flexible. Hard bumbs causes it to lose connection at the head unit.
Sturdy cable with a secure clip.
Pros: Sturdy product
This cable is less expensive than what is available locally. My local stereo place wanted $49.95 for the same thing! This cable while inexpensive is actually a pretty heavy duty rugged cable which is more than suitable for wiring up my ipod to my new head unit.
Pros: Heavy duty cable
I bought this cable thinking it would be the best cable for my new Kenwood receiver---as advertised. Wrong. This cable is so darn thick and bulky that you could use it to pull your buddy out of a ditch. It's too rigid to coil up and put your iPhone in a concealed area without putting too much pressure on the phone's adapter connection. This cable could really damage your iPhone or iPod. It is so unforgiving that any awkward movements, which are bound to happen in a car, could break the phone's internal adapter connection. Risk a $500.00 iPhone on a cable made for $0.00001?? No. You don't need this cable, it's nothing special or proprietary to your Kenwood receiver............any other aftermarket USB--iPhone cable will work and will be more pliable and user friendly than this one.
Cons: Bulky, thick, non-pliable, unforgiving, can damage iPhone or iPod.
Good quality cable
Great for the marine environment used it all last summer and cant tell it has been used. Did keep it in a water tight case when the boat wasn't in use. Would
a bit harder to attach that the typical white brand cable, but feels much more rugged and more well built.
This is great. I didn't know it even existed. I found out about it when I purchased my new Kenwood deck and it is great. I'm ordering another one when I'm done with this review.
Pros: Does just what it is suppose to do. No issues. Great so far.
Cons: It doesn't come in colors? (I had to put something here) Blue or Red would be great.
Indeed this is a sturdy and well made cable. It locks into your i-device port solidly. The only problem is that the prongs that allow it to lock so securely make it too wide to fit through the Otter Box case. You have to remove the case, or use the OEM Apple connector. Sigh.
Pros: Well made and convenient.
Cons: Won't work with Otter Box case.
This cable stays in my vehicle and I don't have to worry about bringing a cable along to connect my iPad/iPhone/iPod to my Kenwood KDC-X396.
Pros: Works great
This is a well made cable. Heavy duty enough to withstand the constant movement in a car but not too stiff. The USB cable allows me to control my IPOD from my Kenwood Excelon KDC-X696 receiver.
Pros: Heavy duty. Permits receiver to control IPOD ( requires IPOD ready receiver).
Cons: Somewhat pricey but you get what you pay for.
Worked as advertised...arrived quickly! I am very satisfied.
easy hookup, clean sound. much cleaner than old plug in front setups.
Cable performs as expected and has heavy duty construction. Plug it in and
listen to your favorite tunes on your Ipod.
