If you have to, then get it
Written By mary, Illinois on Wednesday, April 08, 2009

I selected this unit so that I could use the factory radio on my 2005 Taurus. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone not in my situation. It just doesn't seem as sturdy as my last unit, a Pioneer. The cover of the unit is flimsy, and the plastic sleeves that hold the discs are weak. Potholes that were nothing to my Pioneer cause this unit to skip.

Excellent Unit
Written By John, California on Friday, March 27, 2009

I just recieved this changer two days ago and had it installed locally as I have lung cancer. They did a great job and it works fine and sounds great. I have driven over potholes and other types of bumps and the thing just keeps playing. I have a Kenwood tape deck so my unit operates this changer which is really nice. I had it mounted in the trunk under the back tray. Its easy to operate, doesn't take up any kind of space and paid less at Crutchfield than I was thinking it would be. Overall, I'm very happy with this unit.

Great Product. Highly recommended!

What a long, strange trip this has been. I let my teenage son drive my
1998 Saturn SL2. When he was done the speakers were blown. Purchased
two paid of Polk db-675. Great speakers but sounded tinny and shrill. I
figured it was the factory radio. Having lots of cassettes I purchased the
Kenwood KRC-335. Problem solved. Now I wanted to be able to play CD's.
That why I chose the KRC-335 in the first place. The mounting in the Saturn
is a little weird. There is no place to attach both mounts under the back
shelf. I attached a 2x4 long enough to attach the changer to to the shelf
using the original bolt hole. Then I attached the changer to the 2x4.

The roads in our area are in one of two conditions. Horrible or being
repaired and even worse. I have only had this changer skip on two
occasions. One the pothole caused the entire rear end to be airborne and
the other was with a CD borrowed from the library. We know how some
people treat stuff that isn't theirs.

My car was involved in a minor rear end collision a week ago and the
changer still chugs along.

This thing just works! and works! and WORKS!

I would highly recommend this changer to amyone.

The shipping and packaging by Crutchfield is exceptional.

Thanks for the great products and service!

Rock-solid and ready to roll...
Written By Brandt (silent 'd'), Frankfort, KY on Friday, September 28, 2007

Hello...
I find this CD player to be reliable and capable of producing a good range some two years after I have installed it.
I mounted it in the trunk of my Oldsmobile, between the rear speakers. But, in apparent contrast to another reviewer, I decided to use pine blocks to separate it from the deck. It took a bit of painful time in the trunk to get it right, but I am well satisfied now.
This changer sounds good and, apart from the occasional skip, is as steady as they come.
