You can listen to your digital music collection in your car — the KDC-X890 plays back discs loaded with MP3, WMA, and AAC music files. Kenwood's ACDrive makes it easy to dig through these digital files and folders, with a voice guide that actually tells you the name of each file as you scroll past. The included software lets you encode your files to make them compatible with the ACDrive.
Plug your thumb drive, portable hard drive, card reader, or any other USB device into the USB input on the KDC-X890 and hit play. The radio will display artist names and track information right on the faceplate, and the USB connection will even supply power to your compatible player.
If radio's your thing, you can connect an optional Kenwood HD Radio tuner, capable of bringing incredibly clear AM/FM reception to your car audio system. This versatile CD player will also control a Kenwood CD changer, satellite radio, or iPod adapter. A 4-band parametric equalizer offers in-depth toneshaping capability, and you'll find six preset tone curves for quick adjustments.
The KDC-X890 delivers in the style department, too, with its customizable multicolor display, full-motion animations, and motorized faceplate. Fire up Kenwood's Graphic Motion Analyzer to see the G-forces you're pulling during acceleration, braking, and cornering.
