Kenwood's Sport series speakers promise to spruce up your ride without flattening your wallet. The 4" KFC-1061S 3-way speakers utilize high-quality woofers and tweeters to bring new clarity and enhanced performance to your car audio system.

Polypropylene woofers beef up your music with full, bold sound, so you'll hear the drumbeat and not your own car's rattles and rolls. Balanced-dome tweeters reproduce the musical details that make your tunes sound natural and alive. Hard ceramic passive tweeters fill out the sound spectrum with high-frequency excitement. Car trips go faster with great sound from Kenwood. Grilles are included.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I installed a set of these speakers(4) and had no volume untill turned at least 3/4 of the way up. I was told I had a bad amplifier form your tech assistance at Crutchfield. I knew the amp was good because my test speaker worked just fine at the factory hook ups. I purchased a new set of speakers from the dealer and they worked just fine.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I put these in my 91 Lexus LS as a replacement to the aging ones that came stock and they sound EXCELLENT! I turned my volume up all the way and it sounds superb! I would recommend these as a cheap replacement to any other UCF10 LS400 owners.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I've been using kenwood 4" speakers in my dash for many years, and I always thought they sounded as good as any $100 pair, but this latest set was disappointing. They distorted, and didn't reproduce the higher frequencies as clearly as my older sets of kenwoods.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Definately worth the purchase. I would tell a friend, and as a matter of fact I have, spoken to friends about the speakers and especially Crutchfield. Crutchfield supplies you with more than enough for you to get your monies worth, no one comes close. These speakers work great, the sound quality is clear and crisp. If powered by an amp, I can imagine there real abilities, A REALLY GOOD BUY. Thanks Crutchfield Team.

2001 Honda Odyssey
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Bought these for a 2001 Honda Odyssey rear speaker replacement, with the factory head unit and no additional amplification. They really don't sound much different from the factory speakers. When I replaced the front speakers some time ago, the improvement was unmistakable so I was expecting greater efficiency (volume) and highs also with rear replacement. They are fairly far away from me in the driver's seat though. Perhaps I was expecting too much but it's disappointing that I have a hard time hearing any difference between factory and these speakers.

1999 Isuzu Rodeo
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I just installed a pair of these in the rear of my '99 Rodeo. It took all of 15 minutes, including liberating the speakers from the box! The sound, for a four-inch speaker is pretty decent. In my setup, I've got JVC's SRS-Auto mode on, so they're acting more as surround speakers, and for that, they add great depth to the sound. The fronts are the 5-1/4" version of these same speakers. Once I get baffles made up for the front speakers, the system should really sound pretty darned nice, and will sound even better once I add a small sub under the driver's seat.

1997 BMW Z3
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I replaced the stock speakers behind the seats in my 97 BMW Z3 Roadster. Crutchfield listed these Kenwoods as a fit for my car but that turned out to be incorrect. My 97 Z3 roadster (and it is NOT the M model) has 2" speakers behind the seats and I had to enlarge the holes to fit these Kenwood's in.. it was pretty easy though (gotta love the Dremel :)) and they sound far better than the stock speakers did.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Replaced rear speakers in my 2001 Honda Odyssey. Very easy to replace. They sound a little better than the factory speakers (which I had to replace as the glue had come lose on one of them). A little better on the highs. Like the factory speakers there is zero bass.

1987 Ford Ranger
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Replaced the factory dash speakers on my '87 ranger with these, way better sound quality, but i have to turn it up more to get the same amount of volume out of them. The grilles were pointless, b/c they wouldn't fit into the space for the speaker. Overall, great addition, don't distort till I turn it way up, definitely reccomend them to anyone with 4" factory speakers.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

You won't get too much bass out of these, being as they are only 4" speakers, but they beat any oem 4" speakers out there!! The bass IS better, the midrange and treble and just fine. I'd recommend them to anyone with oem 4" speakers who want to improve their system!!!!

1995 GMC Jimmy
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These Kenwood speakers aren't the top of the line, but they aren't bad for the price. I wanted to replace the front and rear factory speakers to a 1995 GMC Jimmy 4 Door and I didn't want to spend too much money on it since the truck is pretty old. The front speakers include the speaker bracket and wire harness. The rear speakers do not. You will need to keep the rear factory brackets and drill new holes to mount the new speakers in. You will also have to cut and splice the rear speaker wires to attach it to the new speakers too. If you have a 1995 GMC Jimmy 4dr, you will find out that taking the door panels off isn't as simple as it seems. It's difficult to disconnect the wires to the power locks, power mirror, and power windows. The factory speaker brackets are not screwed in as the crutchfield installation directions state. They are actually mounted in the door frame with rivets. You will need to use a 1/8 drill bit to punch them out. Thanks, Crutchfield, for the product, fast shipping, and support.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I replaced the stock rear panel speakers (2001 Honda Odyssey) with these and it made a 100% improvement. Good sound, but not much bass - that's to be expected from a 4" speaker though. Install was soooo easy, took about 10 minutes. Thanks Crutchfield!

Good performing set of 4" speakers

Written by: John from Plains, MT on February 14, 2007

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this set to replace my stock speakers which I had not been using in my Toyota pickup, Im powering them off my Kenwood Excelon KDC-890 HU ( front - left & right )! I found them to be a good & clear speaker, obviously not a high performance speaker, but, when I need subtle music listening when my amps are off, this was a very good choice. Kenwood has really came along way throughout the years in car audio, and they have a product for everyones needs. I installed ( bass blockers ) on these knowing that I wasnt going to depend on them for my low audio output. All in all, very good product & fits my needs very well ! Justa word of advice always check & closely match your RMS minimum output & in most cases the max as well & remember all types of music & personal choices in music differ from one person to another so choose what fits your ears as well as your budget. Great job Kenwood & Cruthfield !

Features

Woofers: The woofer cones are constructed from injection-molded polypropylene. This process of cone molding assures a uniform cone thickness for superior linearity and clarity. The cones are lightweight and rigid for low distortion and good bass response. Each woofer uses a treated cloth surround.

Tweeters: Each speaker uses a 7/8" PEI balanced-dome tweeter. PEI (Poly-Ether Imide) is a polymer film that has ideal sound characteristics, making it perfect for use as a tweeter. A PEI balanced-dome tweeter produces a wide soundstage for superior imaging.

Passive Tweeter: The speaker also utilizes a 1/2" ceramic passive tweeter for added high frequency reproduction.

4/2 Hole Compatibility: The speaker tabs are perforated for easy removal, allowing you to use the speakers in 4-hole or 2-hole (size 4T) applications.
