Kenwood's Performance Series speakers deliver the full range of your music with their multi-driver designs. The woofer cone features a Diamond Array pattern that increases the strength of its surface, improving bass response as well as reducing internal vibrations and other distortions. Kenwood's Image Enhancer 4 directs the sound emanating from the midrange drivers and tweeters, blending their signals to give a clean, well-defined focus to your musical soundstage. You'll hear smoother vocals, wider "sweet spot" dispersion, and less distortion.

The KFC-1093PS 4" 3-way speakers employ polypropylene woofer cones to reproduce your lower frequencies with accuracy and strength. The rubber surround resists weathering and provides reliable support that keeps your music playing, no matter what. A 1" balanced-dome tweeter and a smaller flat ceramic tweeter take care of the upper frequencies to complete the all-round coverage that lets your music stretch out and come alive.

Good Speakers!

1987 Toyota Supra
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These were used to replace the ancient original speakers in a classic 1987 Toyota Supra. They fit, though not perfectly, and only two mounting screws could be used to hold the speakers without major alterations to the car's mounting arrangements. The level seemed a little lower than the factory units, but the overall sound is quite good.

Pros: Good sound.

Cons: Possibly diminished volume.

This speaker performs way above it's size. It works very well through the advertised frequencies! It's being driven by my new JVC KWHDR81BT head unit. Really sounds choice! Awesome value for the price!

Pros: Great sound quality especially for the price. Works well through the entire advertised frequencies! Awesome for factory replacement.

Cons: None what-so-ever!

Kenwood 4" Speakers - Kenwood KFC-1093PS

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased & based my system off Crutchfields Dual XHD6430 HD Radio/CD Receiver. Then i added a pair of these for the dash speakers. Once hooked up they were very high and what another person described as "tinny". For the price i guess i shouldnt expect "too much" .. but a lil disappointed. So i added two amps and i am considering the same speakers but in 6" for the doors. Will update review after the complete install.

Pros: Great Price - good looking speakers

Cons: very high and NO Bass at all ...."mids"...didnt even realize they were in the house

Grand Am - Good Speakers for the price.

Written by: Slappy from PA on April 22, 2012

1999 Pontiac Grand Am
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These speakers have been working well for me. Replaced the stock speakers on my Grand Am with them and I have no complaints. They are small, but pump out a good quality of sound. For the price, I would recommend them for a quick fix or a cheap replacement. If you want better quality, you will need to pay more to receive that, just like any other product. Again, no complaints for the price.

Pros: Good quality, fit the car with the brackets, sound is nice for the size.

Cons: None at the moment.

1987 Chevrolet Nova
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Very tinny sounding speakers when hooked to a Dual XHD6430 car radio. I guess it is what you should expect for such a small speaker, however for the price, I was hoping for better. Especially after looking at the other reviews.

Pros: It fit the car perfectly. No cutting required

Cons: Very poor quality sound.

Bought these to replace rear door speakers in 2001 Silverado, excellent choice! The clarity compared to the factory speakers is amazing. I put together a complete Kenwood system and it sounds very good, I highly recommend the KFC-1093PS for the rear doors.

Pros: superb good sound clarity, definitely recommend these to replace factory speakers in the rear door.

Cons: none

Features

Image Enhancer: The KFC-1093PS is equipped with Kenwood's Image Enhancer 4 surrounding the tweeters. Its smooth rounded surface eliminates most of the reflected sound waves that would interfere with the direct sound waves coming from the tweeters. The end result is a better dispersion pattern, less distortion, and clear high-frequency reproduction.

Cone Woofers: The woofer cones are textured Polypropylene with rubber surrounds. Polypropylene woofers are resistant to moisture and temperature extremes found in automotive applications.

Tweeters: Each speaker has a 1" PEI balanced dome tweeter. A semi-dome tweeter has a dome placed inside a cone. Balanced dome tweeters are semi-dome tweeters with equal reproduction area given the cone and dome portions of the tweeter.

Flat Super-Tweeters: The speaker also utilizes a 1/2" ceramic, flat super-tweeter for added high frequency reproduction.
