Multi-driver design
A 1-3/16" water-resistant paper cone covers the midrange frequencies, providing warmth in the vocal range, while a 1/2" ceramic flat tweeter broadcasts the high frequencies effectively to complete the all-round coverage. Grilles not included — factory grilles are appropriate for most applications.

Awesome sound from these speakers in my 07 Mustang installed in doors and rear deck. Very satisfied with them. Sound great paired with my new Kenwood head unit. Good build quality and came with speaker wire and screws.

Awesome sound from these speakers in my 07 Mustang installed in doors and rear deck. Very satisfied with them. Sound great paired with my new Kenwood head unit. Good build quality and came with speaker wire and screws.

Pros: Awesome speakers! I installed two pair in my 07 Mustang. Sound range and sound quality is excellent. Crutchfield even sent me the speaker to factory harness connectors for free. Easy flawless install with the install MasterSheet. Very satisfied with them. Thanks for the recommendation Abe!

These speakers where a great improvement over the stock speakers. I'm still using the stock HU and it is a day and night difference. Matched with my 10 inch sub and it's all I need. Just don't buy the larger baffles they don't fit.

Pros: Great highs and mid's

These speakers are amazing for their price. I put these in my mother's 1994 Mustang convertible and they sound awesome. I haven't put the top down to see what they sound like, because of the weather, but they sound great with it up. Very happy with these.

Pros: Sound and price

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These speakers sound great. They installed very easily in my 97 ford F350 crew cab pickup, with the provided wire adapters. I picked these because they qualified for a discount with my head unit. I am driving these strait from a Kenwood KDC-997X and I'm happy with the treble, now I just need a sub and amp to get more bass.

Pros: Good price w/discount, Sound good

Cons: None

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased 2 pairs of Kenwood KFC-C6894PS in October, to replace stock speakers in 07 F150. They blow the stock speakers away. They have very good range and the bass has very deep sound. Very satified with the purchase. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars, after a few weeks of playing, 1 pair has a rattle at low and high volumes. On the flip side, It on took a 3 minute phone call to Crutchfield and they shipped a new pair with no questions asked and no cost to me.

Pros: Great range and Bass. Easy installation

Cons: 1 pair failed after 2 1/2 months

nice job, guys!

Written by: K.B. from Hokah, MN on December 31, 2013

Beautiful job on the install instructions! The speakers sound great, and although I only got 1 pair to try them out, I've been really impressed by them. I got them for Christmas from my better half, and evidently they were very helpful with the order, as I got all the adapter cables and such with the speakers. I watched some online videos on how to remove the door panels, and used that knowledge with your install sheets. I put a dvd on in the garage and took my time. I was finished and cleaned up with the install before the movie was over. Granted, knowing what I know now, I could probably do it much quicker. As it is, these speakers are nice, but don't expect a lot of bass from them...that isn't what they're designed for. I'm looking to get a powered sub from Crutchfield as well as a second pair of these speakers to finish out the ensemble. Great job, guys!!! You haven't disappointed me one bit, and have set the gold standard for customer service, as my wife can attest.

Pros: accurate install instructions, good sounding speakers

Cons: needs a subwoofer (powered or otherwise) to balance out the entire frequency spectrum.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I had been looking to upgrade my stock speakers after I bought a Kenwood deck from Crutchfeild and when these went on sale I bought four of them for my 05 F-150. The front door was a snap. It took just a few minutes and they were done. The rear doors were a bit tougher but the master sheet walks you through it so well that after I got the first one done I was an expert and the second one was done in just a few minutes. The clarity of the music is great and it rivals the home stereo. Vast improvement over what was there. Only gripe I have is its not ear bleeding loud. That has more to do with the Deck anyway, the speakers are 80 w 3 way. So the high mid and decent bass are all reproduced very well.

Pros: 3 way 80 w speakers, great price, and couldn't be happier with Crutchfeild; The fast shipping and free shipping, the quality of the free accessories and the simplicity of the master sheet was a very favorable experience.

Cons: Wish it was louder.

I bought these to replace the oem speakers in a crown vic. They jam clear and hard. A vast improvement for full range sound. Overall good quality sound paired with a kenwood excellon 497 head unit. The real high frequencies like cymbals smashing from the drummer aren't as loud and clear as say infinities but very nice sound, they make a nice full range sound.

Pros: Good range and sound even at low frequencies.

Cons: Could play some higher frequencies a little louder, but I have been spoiled by being a long time infinity customer. Still hands down worth every penny.

I had already installed a DNX890HD about two weeks ago. The DNX's increased power really exposed the weaknesses of my OEM speakers, so I decided it was time to upgrade.... and why not make the whole system Kenwood! I bought two pair of these speaker; they are a direct fit for my 2012 F-150 Crew Cab and the (free) wiring adapters made installation a snap. Don't let the size or low price fool you, those speakers sound great......a day & night difference compared to the OEM speakers. They have a nice bass to them and a very clear and crisp sound; well worth the money I paid for them.

Pros: Easy installation, perfect fit, and excellent sound.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I replaced the stock door and rear deck speakers in my 2007 Mustang GT with these Kenwood KFC-C6894PS speakers and I could not be more impressed. First of all they were a direct fit with absolutely no modifications necessary and secondly they sound freakin awesome. All I can say if you for sure want to replace your rear speakers as well as your door speakers if you use these, reason is they sound so much better that if you only replace the door speakers they will completely overpower the rear speakers if you leave them stock. Be smart, replace all 4.

Pros: Sound awesome, excellent high's and mid range and even a good amount of bass kick for a 3-way.

Cons: None, just don't expect any of your stock speakers to be able to keep up if you only replace some, be smart and replace them all.

Very nice speaker, priced well, and they put out solid performance. I have these in my rear doors & powered by a Pioneer AVH-P4400BH DVD Receiver. They reproduce highs very well, but are limited on the low frequency; that's why man invented the subwoofer so it's not a big deal.

Pros: Priced well, reproduction of highs is crisp & clear

Just finished installing kenwood KFC-C6894PS in the rear doors of a 2004 Explore. I put the kicker KS68 in the front doors. I was looking to match the base that came out of the stock speakers in the Explorer. Believe you me, they are awesome!!!!!! I have a Clarion head unit. No aftermarket amp, these speakers really rock I'm telling you. There is plenty of base and the highs and the meds are exactly what I was looking for. The install was so easy came with stock wiring harness no cutting no soldering No mass. Door panels a breeze to get off, couldn't believe it. If you're looking for a replacement speakers to go inplace of the old crappy stock ones this is the only choice for the 2004 Ford Explorer ,these are the ones.

Pros: learned how to remove the door panels of a 2004 Ford Explorer.

Cons: Couldn't afford to have somebody else install them.

Installed in a 2003 Ford Explorer XLS. Decided on a pair of these for the front doors, mostly due to the reviews from other Crutchfield customers. I can't say anything bad about these Kenwood's. The sound is phenomenal as I enjoy all types of music. I have the speakers hooked up to a JVC KW-XR610 (also purchased the crutchfield) and enjoy the Dynamic and Bass Boost soundfields through these speakers without an amp. I will definately be purchasing another pair for the rear doors and eventually the Sound Ordanance powered subwoofer. Thank you Crutchfield!

Pros: A subwoofer may help but not necessary for my music. Installation was a no brainer and fast.

Cons: None.

So I replaced the front door speakers and rear cab corner speakers in my 2000 F350 Super Duty Crew cab and the sound is a lot better. My speakers were the original so I had one that was blown so my sound was not very good I had to fade out the back. These speakers now have a nice full crisp sound which is very enjoyable. I have a Kenwood deck that helps out and adjusted the fuctions and I actually have bass out of these speakers which is nice. Just a basic system no amp powering the speakers and I'm impressed with the sound quality for sure.

Pros: They are a good couple step's up from stock speakers. You can hear more instruments in the music now with the tweeter part that stock doesn't have. Overall great sound I would recommend these to my friends if they need speakers. Good price and I didn't have to go to the store. They fit perfect and the pigtail they give you is perfect too that is free.

Cons: You have to wait for them in the mail which only takes a few days. So nothing bad.

The instruction sheet and wiring adapters made it a very quick and easy install. The sound quality is great ! Next on the list is a sub.

Pros: Easy install, great bang for the buck !

Cons: none

Good full sound, easy installation. Local stores charge the same for the speakers but also charge 12-15 bucks for the harness and no instruction sheet--- + tax!

Pros: Good price , good sound, easy installation

R&R Special Removal and Replace

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Crutchfield was right once again. I have a Ford Sport Trac factory sound system with the factory subwoofer. The original speakers were an enclosed coaxial in the front doors and usual single play all speaker in the rear doors. The Kenwoods actually livened up the mid to upper range base frequencies along with separating the mid and highs. I listen to a wide range of rock and prefer a tight thump of base not the drone from just the ultra low frequencies. It amazing some of the little sounds and noises in the music we listen to and never hear because of the factory speaker designs. The all come out clean and clear now. My wife even commented on how the music seemed much clearer and broader spectrum of sound.

Pros: Fast easy bolt in. Great clean sound for the money in a single component!!!

Cons: I only had four doors and four holes to put them in.

Sounds great

SWEET & EASY UPGRADE!

Written by: Big Guapo from Lakewood on September 20, 2012

I upgraded the 4 Ford factory speakers in my 2010 F350 Crew-Cab with 4 of these. I am still using the original Ford factory stereo head unit installed. They have a very nice full (yet) crisp sound. The speakers' base response is really good, too.

Pros: Easy to install (about 1/2 hr max) and a very nice full, crisp sound to them.

Cons: Wire connectors are thin / weak. So don't force the connection too hard. Callers volume on BT w/ Sync sound distant. Have to turn up the volume now... never had to do that with factory spkrs.

Nice!

2011 Ford Ranger
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Upgraded the 4 Ford factory speakers in my 2011 Ranger Super-Cab with 4 of these and I was pleasantly impressed. I am still using the original Ford factory stereo head unit installed because I am upgrading the truck's sound in phases, and replacing the speakers was the 1st phase. Anyways, I was expecting that these speakers would provide an improved sound. But, I got even more improvement than I expected. They have a very nice full (yet) crisp sound to them and they certainly have added more kick to the sound. The speakers' base response is pretty good, not super good, but definitely adequate (for now). And, I expect this will improve when I upgrade the stereo head unit. However, the sound quality upgrade that I got from just upgrading to these speakers is very nice, and I am very pleased with them.

Pros: Easy to install and a very nice full, crisp sound to them.

Cons: none yet

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I am not an audiophile. I drive a 2003 F150 which has an abundance of road noise in the cab. I thought the stock speakers were fine. After I replaced the stock radio with a Kenwood, I was pleasantly surprised about how much better it sounded and began wondering if I could get the same level of improvement with new speakers. I decided to only replace the front speakers to see if there was any improvement. Also, I expected the replacement to be a pain and didn't want to commit to replacing all 4. Replacement: The Crutchfield instructions were fantastic! I had the panels off, new speakers installed and panels back on in less that 15 minutes per door. On top of that, I found that much of the sound baffle on the drivers door was detached and torn, obviously from the Ford factory. I taped up and repaired the plastic shield which reduced the interior noise. The new speakers are amazing. I can actually listen to opera now. I will replace the rear speakers soon.

Pros: Sound. Ease of installation.

Cons: None.

good sound, questionable match for Mazda 3/Bose

2007 Mazda 3
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased a pair of Kenwood KFC-C6894PS speakers to replace the Bose front door speakers in my Mazda 3, one of which was blown. These were one of the recommended selections by Crutchfield but I'm not so sure these are a good match to the system. The original Bose speakers are round, single (one-way) units that deliver mid-range and bass frequencies. High frequencies are delivered via separate tweeters mounted just inside the side-view mirrors. The Kenwoods are a three-way oval speaker with a tweeter mounted in the center over a paper midrange cone, so they naturally deliver a wider range of sound, but with the original Bose tweeters still in place I am hearing way too much treble even with the treble balance set to 0 or -1. Understood that this is all a matter of preference but it seems that a one-way replacement speaker would have been a better selection to maintain the balance of highs and lows on this system. With that said, the speakers themselves appear to be very good quality and deliver full range of sound, but favoring midrange. Installation took less than an hour thanks to Crutchfield's excellent instructions! I recommend purchasing and installing the foam speaker baffles to protect from dust and water drips inside the door panels.

Pros: Good quality, clear sound

Cons: Too much treble for Mazda 3 Bose system

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought these speakers for the rear deck of my car because I was so impressed with the sound quality of the matching 6" KFC's that I had previously put in my front doors. These speakers give out stunningly clear sound. I am completely satisfied with my Kenwood KFC (front and rear) series speakers!

Pros: -Clarity, clarity, clarity! -The aesthetic appearance is almost as enjoyable as the sound. -For the money? Well worth the price!

Cons: If you buy these speakers, and you don't have any kind of sub woofer in the trunk, plan on some kind of enclosure for these speakers to help out a little with the bass. Don't get me wrong, the bass is there, and it is beautiful and clear just like the mids and highs that these speakers dish out. However, the mids and highs are so clear and so strong that the bass gets a little lost in there.

Great sound

Great speakers for the price. Third set of Kenwood speakers I have owned and they have never disappointed me. The soud in my car is now much fuller. I have a Mazda MX5 and even with the top down I no longer have to blast the stereo to hear it driving at highway speeds.

Pros: Sound quality is excellent, good bass and midrange.

Cons: None.

nice upgrade from stock

Written by: fosgate_lover from PHX, AZ on April 30, 2012

these are good speakers to upgrade from stock to. they add nice highs for my application. i use them as rear speakers so they help blend the music better. i can't comment on their low bass quality because i have subs so the lows don't make it to the speaker. the wonderful crutchfield wire harness make install a snap. also i have not pushed these speakers with an amp so i can't review their higher wattage sound.

Pros: easy to install, nice highs, affordable upgrade from stock

Cons: none for my application

Replaced 4 of the 6 door speakers, front and midship, now the stock rear speakers sound pretty bad.....LOL. I will order 2 more of these while I'm here! If you have a FORD with 6x8 speakers you need these..........Night and Day.

Pros: Stock FORD CD-6 with 6 speakers makes it sound like a concert hall in my van. Install was simple with the wire adapters and everything fit behind the factory grills so there's nothing to see or want............

Cons: No cons with these!
