Awesome Buy

I love these speakers, they sound so great. When people ride with me they have to ask if I have and Subwoofers. There is always the same answer, no.
Pros:
These speakers never distort, they have always performed great under intense 115 degree South Dakota heat, and the -20 degree South Dakota chill.I have never had any problems putting them in my car because it was literally a snap and they were in my car.
Cons:
When I start to push extreme power through them they still rattle but not like my old ones did. With my new stereo the don't hit the lows very well.
Overall it is a great product and if I had a second chance I would buy the same speakers. They are worth way more than the price.

I put 4 of these in my wife's minivan. They are clean, clear, crisp, and everything else we hoped they would be. If my vehicle had a place for 6x9 speakers, I would certainly buy another set of these. We are very pleased with the quality from Kenwood and from Crutchfield.
As far as price/quality ratio, I'm not sure you can beat these speakers. I fully recommend them.

Best speakers for the price

These kenwood 6x9" speakers sound great, they produce tight bass and clear highs. I heard many car audio systems and many different manufacturers and I found Kenwood to be the best in value and best in quality. I would recommend these to anybody not looking to blow the budget on over priced competitors speakers. Proper installation and a good clean signal pay dividends to any stereo, buy these speakers and make a proper installation even better!

Good Speakers for mids and highs

I purchased these speakers for a '99 Toyota Camry. First, let me say that when Crutchfield tells you that you will have to re-drill mounting holes-they mean it. Toyotas are either some of the most well built cars on the market and/or the most difficult to break into and steal the speakers from the stereo system. It took nearly an 45 min. to remove all the panels, slide back the deck lid, pull up the factory sound deadening material, unscrew the factory speaker brackets, re-drill the mounting holes (none of the factory holes lined up) and replace the speakers. A little more work than I had anticipated. I had an easier time custom fitting speakers into the doors of my '92 corolla.
Maybe that was due to the fact that I received instructions for a '97 Camry. Not sure if that was a slip-up or that the basic installation proceedures are all the same for that body style. I have purchased from Crutchfield several times over the years and have always had great results. On the whole, this purchase was no different.
As for the speakers themselves, they play very well. I am using the power supplied by a Kenwood DPX MP-4070. If you are someone into rock (heavy metal or alternative) then these speakers should work very well for you. I can turn them up to insane volume levels with no distortion. I, however, am a child of the '80's, (rap '80's that is)and a true basshead. These speakers have no bass whatsoever.
If you a looking for a good all around 6x9 speaker with quality sound and building materials, by all means buy this one. On the other hand, if you a looking for a booming system, buy an amp and some subs.

Great sound

These speakers are wonderful. They get so loud. good bass and doesnt distort. ive got them on my amp at 75 watts rms. I put them in boxs under the back seat of my truck. the system really sounds great now. ive got 3 amps running. one powering the door speakers one powering the subwoofer and 6x9's and one powering my tweeters. These speakers are great for the price would reccomend to any one that needs some great 6x9's
