They fit exactly where the factory units were and without any challanges! Plus added that extra clarity that I was looking for! 4 out of 4 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? I have 1250 watts total and use only 150 watts peak for these tweeters. When I got them hooked up I was so surprised at the clarity of these things. It changed the entire sound of my stereo. For the price they are amazing. I made two 2 1/4 " boxes to sit on my dash, and the response from everyone that has heard them has said that it sounds like a concert hall and I have to agree. Written By Mark, Tallahassee, FL on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 My system: Pioneer head unit, Alpine 4x75w amp, 4 Kenwood 6x8 3-ways in a 2003 ExplorerAdded a pair of these in the front, and they really help bring out the highs at all volume levels. They improve the vocals, and are really good for talk radio. The 4 6x8's have good sound, but a little muddy; these really helped separate the sound, and have a very nice sound quality. 6 out of 6 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Written By jason, Seattle on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 So I bought 2 sets of these for my 99 Ford Ranger; one set for the rear ceiling and one set for the doors. I really like the look and the mounting options of the tweeters. They even sound really good at low volumes. However, my two alpine amps, four jensen 3-way 6x8s, and my 12" sub would like to go much MUCH louder, but they can't because these tweeters keep clipping. The idea was to drive the four tweeters with the high-output of the deck and drive everything else with amps. My deck is a Kenwood and only puts out 20Wpc and the tweeters are rated at 65 watts rms, 280 watts peak. What ever!!! If I go past 23 on the deck they clip. Solution: Installed a 1K ohm resister in series between the deck and the "protection circuitry/high-pass filter" and solved the problem. Voltage gain. Spend a little more money....I think!!! 8 out of 23 people found this helpful Was this review helpful?
