The SK-701RM mounting arm lets you mount a video screen in place of the rear seat ceiling assist grip on many SUVs, MiniVans, and other vehicles. It installs using the screw holes of the assist grip, and can be cut to length for a customized fit. The SK-701RM is designed ideally for use with Kenwood screens, but the universal monitor mount (included) will accommodate any brand of screen (up to 8").

Once you've mounted the video screen, you can swivel it to the best angle for straight-on viewing. This same feature lets you pivot the screen out of the way when not in use for safety.

Features

Product Description: This kit allows you to mount a video monitor in a vehicle in the place of one of the ceiling assist grip handles found in many SUVs and Minivans. The angle of the monitor can be adjusted for optimum positioning. It is designed to be used with a monitor of up to 8 inches wide.

Installation: The installation involves removing one of the vehicle's ceiling assist grip handles, and bolting two mounting brackets in its place. The mounting brackets hold the 22-7/8" long grab handle in place, then the monitor mount is attached to the extended portion of the handle. The monitor mount can accommodate a Kenwood LZ-601 or LZ-701W video monitor, or you can use the universal monitor mount for most any brand of video monitor. You can adjust the angle of the monitor for the best viewing position.

The perfect monitor mount!

Written By Steven, Lake Orion, Michigan on Thursday, March 03, 2005

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have been looking for the perfect mount for my 2005 GMC Envoy lease vehicle. I have tried two other mounts, but they seemed to be in the way. This is a perfect solution. It is well made and would fit almost any vehicle with a hand hold. It's really sturdy, and easy to install. The refurbished/scratch and dent item I purchased looked brand new. Thanks to Crutchfield and Kenwood.
