About the Kenwood KFC-XW120
High-performance bass
High-performance bass
Kenwood puts their most advanced technology into the Excelon subwoofers, so you can enjoy reliable high-performance bass in your ride. This KFC-XW120 12" sub comes equipped with a polypropylene cone attached to a heavy-duty rubber surround that allows for extra excursion, so it'll take whatever you throw at it. The cone is reinforced by a ribbed "Square Array" pattern that helps it to keep its shape through heavy play. The KFC-XW120 is rated to handle up to 400 watts RMS so you know it's ready to rock.
Keeping it cool
A dual ventilation system forces heated air out of the motor structure through the back and the sides of the housing, so the sub stays cooler during extended play. This ventilation system also allows this sub to operate in an extremely shallow enclosure, good news if you're building a box to go in a tight spot. Install this Kenwood in a suitable box, hook up a nice amp, and you're ready to rumble.

Features
Heat Transfer System: A dual ventilation system design helps keep the motor structure cool, improving power handling and longevity.
Double Stacked Magnet: The stacked magnet assembly is used to create a powerful linear motor for superior bass output.
Spring Terminals: The spring post terminals on one side of the woofer connect to your amplifier's wiring. The posts will accept pin connectors, single banana plugs, or bare wire up to 8 gauge.
Sealed Box: Kenwood recommends a sealed enclosure with an optimum internal volume of 1.25 ft³ (from 0.7 ft³ to 1.8 ft³ is acceptable). Sealed enclosures provide the most control over a woofer, will handle a lot of power, and provide accurate sonic reproduction, making them suitable to all types of music.
Ported Box: Kenwood recommends a ported enclosure with an internal volume of 2.0 ft³ (from 1.2 ft³ to 2.5 ft³ is acceptable) using a 12-3/4" x 1-1/2" x 21-1/2" slot port. Ported (or vented) enclosures typically provide better overall efficiency than sealed so they are suitable for use with smaller amplifiers, giving you more bass output from a given amp. However, this efficiency comes at the expense of very low frequency output.

Ive always been a pioneer fan and this is my first Kenwood system and I don't see me ever changing from Kenwood as long as they keep the quality #1 priority. I'm loving my system 4 12" Kenwood subs but my neighbors aint, lol
