Keep your gear safe
The Core Power 600 AVU has 8 AC outlets, 2 USB inputs, and a set of coaxial input/output jacks — all protected from power surges and spikes.
Keep your gear safe
Audio/video and office electronics are sensitive and susceptible to damage from electrical surges and spikes. Monster's dependable surge protectors have saved thousands of systems over the years. Plug your valuable equipment into the Monster Core Power 600 AVU and keep it safe from harm. You get six protected AC outlets and 2 protected USB inputs for charging your tablet and phone.
Surges and spikes can travel not only on your AC power line, but also on cable TV and antenna lines. That's why Monster included a set of surge-protected coaxial inputs and outputs. And it's not just your gear that's safe — Monster is mindful of your home and family too. They've used specially-engineered parts to reduce the risk of the unit catching on fire during a power surge.
Protect your 'net
You depend on your modem and router quite a bit, whether you rent or own them. Much of our work and entertainment these days rely on a healthy connection to our home network. When that network is down, our productivity, listening, and viewing options can be greatly reduced. You certainly don't want to wait days for service calls and replacement parts. The surge-protected coaxial connections and outlets shield your modem and router, so your network stays strong.

Features
Overview: The Monster Core Power EXP 600 AVU protects your home electronics from dangerous power surges and spikes. It has 6 AC outlets, as well as a pair of coax connectors to protect your cable or satellite connections. There are also two USB charging ports for your convenience. The EXP 600 AVU has a 6' flexible power cord with a low-profile, right-angled 3-pronged power plug.
AC Outlets: The EXP 600 AVU features six surge-protected AC outlets that are aligned vertically on the power strip. The 6 outlets provide a total of up to 1080 Joules of surge protection for your TV, DVD/Blu-ray players, PCs, laptops, Cable TV/Satellite equipment, and game consoles.
Coaxial Protection: Because power surges can enter your home through antenna and cable connections, the EXP 600 AVU includes a pair of coaxial connections. One coax input and one coax output are provided to protect your TV or satellite/cable TV box. No coax cable is included.
USB Charging Ports: Two surge-protected Type A female 2.1-amp USB charging ports are provided. One is designated for charging a tablet, while the other is marked for a phone or portable music player.
FireProof MOVs: Standard surge protectors account for 37% of all home electrical fires. Some inexpensive surge protectors uses lower quality MOVs (Metal Oxide Varistors) that may spark or get very hot when subjected to powerful electrical surges. The MOVs in the Monster Power EXP 600 AVU are encased in a specially-engineered ceramic material that will not catch fire during a power surge.
Power Filtration: Monster's Clean Power technology filters out EMI and RFI interference caused by "dirty" power coming into your home from the power company. Also, appliances inside your home, such as microwave ovens, mixers, and refrigerators, can cause interference. This interference can create lines on your computer or TV screen, or noise in your audio system, degrading performance. Monster's Clean Power Filtration technology can assure you have better picture and sound.
Monster Connected Equipment Warranty: The EXP 600 AVU is backed by a $150,000 Connected Equipment Warranty. If any equipment properly connected to the surge protector is damaged by power surge, Monster will replace the damaged equipment. Details and definitions are included in the product manual.
Wall Mountable: The EXP 600 AVU can be placed on the floor, on a tabletop, or mounted to a wall. Four keyhole slots are provided for wall mounting.

When we upgraded our stereo system, we upgraded the surge protector too -- just in time for thunderstorm season. And we had extra ports left over for a recharging station.
