Features
Overview: The Monster Core Power EXP 650 USB current tap and surge protector has 6 AC outlets, as well as two USB charging ports. It plugs into a standard two-socket wall outlet, and protects your electronic devices from dangerous power surges and spikes.
AC Outlets: The EXP 650 USB features 6 surge-protected AC outlets that are aligned horizontally in two rows. The six outlets provides a total of up to 1080 Joules of surge protection for your TV, DVD/Blu-ray players, PCs, laptops, Cable TV/Satellite equipment, and game consoles.
USB Charging Ports: Two surge-protected Type A female 2.1-amp USB charging ports are provided. One is designated for charging a tablet, while the other is marked for a phone or portable music player.
FireProof MOVs: Standard surge protectors account for 37% of all home electrical fires. Some inexpensive surge protectors uses lower quality MOVs (Metal Oxide Varistors) that may spark or get very hot when subjected to powerful electrical surges. The MOVs in the Monster Power EXP 650 USB are encased in a specially-engineered ceramic material that will not catch fire during a power surge.
Power Filtration: Monster's Clean Power technology filters out EMI and RFI interference caused by "dirty" power coming into your home from the power company. Also, appliances inside your home, such as microwave ovens, mixers, and refrigerators, can cause interference. This interference can create lines on your computer or TV screen, or noise in your audio system, degrading performance. Monster's Clean Power Filtration technology can assure you have better picture and sound.
Monster Connected Equipment Warranty: The EXP 650 USB is backed by a $100,000 Connected Equipment Warranty. If any equipment properly connected to the surge protector is damaged by power surge, Monster will replace the damaged equipment. Details and definitions are included in the product manual.
Installation: The EXP 650 USB is designed to be plugged into a standard, two-socket wall outlet. The three-pronged plug should be inserted into the top outlet. A plastic post slides into the grounding socket of the bottom to hold it in place. For a permanent installation, the existing wall plate should be removed and the current tap fastened to the receptacle using the supplied screw. When installed, the EXP 650 USB extends approximately 1-7/16" out from the wall.
Specifications:
- Electrical Rating: 120VAC, 15A, 60Hz, 1800W
