Crutchfield Customer Review The reviewer purchased this item from us, verified by the email address on the order. Now THIS is one heavy, substantial set of cables! (All three are molded together in a flat cable, with the ends separated for ease of connection.) I have both a Blu-Ray DVD player, and an older DVD player that I use for non-Blu-Ray discs because a) I HAD it and it was a GREAT player, b) start up time is three times faster than Blu-Ray (so what, right?) c) energy costs are slightly less than Blu-Ray, and most of my DVDs are not Blu-Ray (again, so what?) d) my HDTV is unable to keep up with the upconversion to 1080i, as it does not have 120 Hz and 24 frame capability--so I decided to use and keep BOTH components. But these Monstercable Component Video cables are just wonderful. Very secure connection with their proprietary "turbine cut" gold-plated connectors. Their holding power is unbelievable! (Hint: I use a spray-on cleaner and connectivity enhancer before I make ANY connection! Even with gold connectors!) But, like I reviewed the HDMI cables from Crutchfield, you NEED a two meter length to properly flex and bend around your components! It makes NO sense to pay MORE for a technology when you can get BETTER technology (HDMI) cheaper. Therefore, consider these cables as the "ne plus ultra" for Component Video!! 13 out of 14 people found this helpful Was this review helpful?
