Written By RKS, North Carolina on Sunday, June 26, 2011 Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?) Crutchfield Customer Review The reviewer purchased this item from us, verified by the email address on the order. Recommended by the Crutchfield rep. on the phone. I agree that they do sound pretty good and liked them better that others I have owned (Dennon) in this price range.( $50-100 ) The physical weight of them is a bit heavy in your ears. I received the first pair and the mini -plug that goes into your Ipod was broken. The chrome metal ring around it had come off and was loose in the box. Crutchfield sent out a second pair. Same problem. Perhaps Monster needs to find better glue? They sounded pretty nice so I was disappointed that they arrived broken twice. After two tries I switched to the NU Force NE700x . Glad I did. I think they sound better, and they are also an all metal ear bud, but they aren't as heavy so they are less noticeable in your ears than the Monsters. I usually find that you get what you pay for, but in this case I liked the less expensive NuForce over Monster JamZ. Bottom Line...If you are looking for a sweet sounding earbud in this price range I highly recommend that you look into getting the NuForce over the Monster Jamz. They sound better ( bigger sound stage, smoother mid range, better base tones, not as punchy) and feel better in your ears, and cost less. Everyone I spoke with at Crutchfiled through the process of getting the replacement, all the returns and even ordering my third pair of replacements were very professional and did a great job.
