Keep your system safe

Everyday electrical surges and spikes can easily damage or even destroy your valuable A/V equipment. Why gamble on plugging your electronic gear straight into the wall, or the false security of a $5 power strip? Monster's dependable surge protectors have saved thousands of systems over the years. Their AV 750 features Dual Mode Plus™ protection, which automatically disconnects to isolate your equipment from surges and spikes. It also sounds an alarm to let you know that it has protected your electronics from dangerous power conditions.

Despite its low price, the AV 750 can protect your entire A/V system. Surges and spikes can travel not only on your AC power line, but also on cable TV, antenna, and phone lines, as well. In addition to eight color-coded AC outlets, the AV 750 has surge-protected coaxial connections for antenna/cable, as well as protected phone connections for your phone or DVR.

Fireproof protection

At the heart of most surge protectors are devices called MOVs — metal oxide varistors — that absorb the excess voltage when a surge hits. Typical surge protectors use plastic-coated MOVs, which isn't ideal because powerful surges can actually melt the plastic coating, creating a potential fire hazard. The AV 750 features ceramic-encased MOVs for superior fire protection.

In addition to Monster's warranty on the AV 750 itself, they will also replace up to $400,000 worth of your equipment if it's damaged by power conditions. Now that's peace of mind.

Very good power center

Written by: jazzman48 from Elkton, VA on September 28, 2014

Really need to purchase one or two more of these to better handle all the electrical chords I have. I like how it has enough space for those dreadful wall-warts. Pretty essential piece of gear and less expensive than many of the higher-priced power conditioners available. This does the job just fine.

Pros: Nice price point for its handling capacity. Well-made.

Cons: None.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great protection for less than $50. Mountable unit that provides all the protection one needs for their cable box and Blue Ray player up to their Apple PC. Color coded outlets that come with stickers to help identify each units wire. Great price at less than $50. Highly Recommend. Protects surge protection for cable preventing the voltage spike to hit your HDMI ports on your flat screen.

Pros: Had issues with voltage spikes frying the HDMI ports on my Plasma TV because the Cable was not properly grounded. 3 spikes in one month caused 3 blown boards. No issues in the past month since installing the Monster surge protector. Crutchfield Rocks as always! Great service and lighting fast shipping!

Cons: Had for one month and had no issues. Fingers crossed!

Customer Q&A

1 question already asked

you get what you pay for. I would get a surge protector then a power conditioner for the higher end (more expensive) electronics. [ Joseph  Dec 17, 2013 ]
A surge of electric can ruin expensive equipment. The monster power center is guaranteed to proect your stuff. They will even replace your equipment up to $300,000. Can't still wrong with that [ andrew  Dec 06, 2013 ]
Some of the more expensive protectors offer isolation and noise reduction, mostly used in the home theater. This one works well as a replacement for a $10 power strip, but never having a surge, who knows if its worth the cost. [ PRATIK  Dec 06, 2013 ]
After the installation my cable guy suggest that I don't use the protection for the in coming cable as it often causes problems [ IVAN  Dec 06, 2013 ]
