About the Monster PowerCenter AV 750
Keep your system safe
Keep your system safe
Everyday electrical surges and spikes can easily damage or even destroy your valuable A/V equipment. Why gamble on plugging your electronic gear straight into the wall, or the false security of a $5 power strip? Monster's dependable surge protectors have saved thousands of systems over the years. Their AV 750 features Dual Mode Plus™ protection, which automatically disconnects to isolate your equipment from surges and spikes. It also sounds an alarm to let you know that it has protected your electronics from dangerous power conditions.
Despite its low price, the AV 750 can protect your entire A/V system. Surges and spikes can travel not only on your AC power line, but also on cable TV, antenna, and phone lines, as well. In addition to eight color-coded AC outlets, the AV 750 has surge-protected coaxial connections for antenna/cable, as well as protected phone connections for your phone or DVR.
Fireproof protection
At the heart of most surge protectors are devices called MOVs — metal oxide varistors — that absorb the excess voltage when a surge hits. Typical surge protectors use plastic-coated MOVs, which isn't ideal because powerful surges can actually melt the plastic coating, creating a potential fire hazard. The AV 750 features ceramic-encased MOVs for superior fire protection.
In addition to Monster's warranty on the AV 750 itself, they will also replace up to $400,000 worth of your equipment if it's damaged by power conditions. Now that's peace of mind.
