To get the best performance from your powered subwoofer, you may have to place it far from your receiver. That means you can't plug your sub into your main power center. To solve the problem, Monster developed the SW 200, a compact power center for your subwoofer that plugs directly into a wall socket.

The SW 200 features Monster Power Clean Power Stage 1 filtration for noise-free power. RCA input and output protect you against damaging surge voltage traveling through the audio cable.

The SW 200 plugs directly into an AC wall outlet. The 24k gold contacts deliver optimal power transfer, and a visual indicator signals protection status.

Details:
  • 2 AC outlets
  • direct plug-in design
  • RCA line in/out jacks
  • Ground OK & Protection On LED indicators
  • $50,000 connected equipment warranty (covers equipment damaged by an AC power or lightning surge while connected to properly installed Monster Cable surge protector)
  • warranty: lifetime on the SW 200

Features

Overview: Since a subwoofer is typically located away from a system's primary power protection unit, the SW200 is designed specifically for powered subwoofers. The chassis plugs directly into and completely covers a standard parallel duplex grounded AC outlet, and it provides two surge-protected and Clean Power™-filtered grounded outlets. There are also two pair of stereo RCA connections, one for input and one for output, to protect your sub from potentially damaging events that may approach it from the preamp signal path.

Dual Mode Plus™: In the event of a damaging power surge, your SW200 will disconnect from the AC power. The Dual Mode Plus audible alarm then beeps to instantly let you know that your PowerCenter has successfully protected your equipment.

SurgeGuard: Protects your subwoofer from harmful power surges and voltage spikes. When a surge strikes, SurgeGuard limits the voltage forwarded to the connected equipment to a safe level.

Monster CleanPower™ Stage 1 v2.0: Reduces AC powerline noise to deliver clean current to your gear.

Maximum 1110 Joule Surge Protection: The SW200 has maximum 1110 joule surge protection for both subwoofer signal lines and AC power outlets.

Plugs Into Outlet: The SW200 is designed to plug directly into a parallel duplex grounded AC outlet. There is a screw between the two outlets, which is designed to replace the screw that secures the outlet's face plate. This allows you to securely fasten the PowerCenter to the outlet.

Response Time: The unit responds within one nanosecond to power surges and voltage spikes.

Audible Alarm: If this unit is damaged by a surge, it will beep to let you know that it has sacrificed its life to save your equipment.

Wall Mounting: There are keyhole slots on the back of the unit that allow for wall mounting (wall screws not supplied).

Indoor Use: The SW200 is designed for indoor use only.

$50,000 Connected Equipment Warranty: Monster Cable will replace, pay to repair or pay the fair market value of equipment that is damaged by an AC power or lighting surge while connected to a properly installed Monster Cable Surge Protector.  For conditions and information on how to make a claim please see the manual.

Proper Surge Protection: Every wire leading into or out of your equipment must be connected properly to the surge protector or the warranty is invalid.

Electrical Rating: 125VAC, 15amp, 60Hz

TVSS Rating: L-N, L-G, N-G (all 330V)
