Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Really does provide the best possible picture quality when you use these cables. Make sure you purchase the quad connectors as the others wont fit. Even though the Direct Tv installer said that his cable would provide the same picture quality as the monster, he agreed to use my monster quad for the install. I am so glad that I did not listen to those who said it doesn't matter what cable you use and that their all the same. My Sony 46' Lcd XBR5 and my Panasonic 55' Viera vt-30 plasma pictures both Rock.

Pros: Crutchfield has the Lowest Price anywhere... High quality cables, improved picture.

Cons: nothing

I installed This cable. It is a lot better than what the cable company uses Changed all my inside cables to this one. Seems to work better than the cheaper cable. I like the copper instead of the aluminum that I replaced.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I installed this cable. It is extremely nice. It is quad shielded and has copper instead of aluminum as the outer braid. But it is extremely thick. I used the clamp on (not the crimp style) RG6 Quad Shield connectors that were on hand but it was very hard to get the connectors on.

Monster cable makes several RG6 quad shield connectors.

This is good stuff. It is a thicker RG6 than other cables I've used. It is quite a bit more expensive than the stuff you can get at the "big box" stores but the braids are copper and not the cheap material other companies use.

The foil is actually very easy to remove and the center wire is more flexible and does not break off as easily if you happen to accidentally bend it.

The thicker cable does make it somewhat more difficult to get compression fittings on but once you get it right, the connectors don't come off.

You will pay for the quality but I would definitely recommend this product if you want to use some of the best RG6 out there.

Sorry, I am unable to help. I purchased a crimper with the crimp on connectors in a kit. Easy to put on, good connection and signal. [ Kya  Sep 13, 2014 ]
Home improvement retailers sell both compression and crimp style but I prefer the crimp style and reuse the tool for other things. I feel like the crimp style is a more professional use. [ Heather  Sep 12, 2014 ]
My attempts to use compression connectors rated for quad shield cable were frustrated by multiple broken connectors due to the thickness of the shielding. Crimp connectors might actually work better. [ Charles  Sep 12, 2014 ]
Not an expert, but this is what I used, they call it a compression crimping tool??? MONSTER QL-MC-CPRSN TOOL Compression Crimping Tool for Quicklock Coaxial Connectors...and these connectors: Monster Cable 126162 Quicklock RG6Q F-pin Connector. Again, not an expert, and it took a little trial and error making the connection. I wasted two connectors figuring out how they are properly attached, but luckily they came ten to a pack (once you compress the connectors with the tool, they cannot be returned to start position, I did not have all the way on the cable.) Could not have been happier with how it all turned out. I was having constant pixellation problems with certain favorite channels and this completely fixed the problem, not one issue since.
