Bass is ear thumping, but that's really about it. Mids are muddled and the Highs often get lost with the amplified bass. Good for hip hop and other bass heavy genres, but anything instrument based without an exceptional amount of bass will leave you questioning your purchase. Comfort wise I wear glasses and as a result I can't keep these on my head for more than an hour or so before I start to get a headache. They do not let ambient noise in which is a plus, and I have had no complaints about sound bleeding out.

Pros: Lots of bass

Cons: Lots of bass

Cheap junk. Wasn't even worth plugging them in, they are cheap plastic and are no where near what you would expect from monster. They were uncomfortable on the ears and would slide right off the head.

Cons: cheap plastic only $40 difference from the Bose AE2's I ended up getting

Lightweight, but bass-heavy

Written by Ralph Graves, Staff Writer - Creative, on 8/27/2012 9:36:00 AM

I was very impressed when I first put the NTunes on my head. Although they appeared as if they would weigh me down, they were incredibly lightweight. They're definitely one of the most comfortable pair of on-ear headphones I've worn. The padding effectively sealed out most of the ambient noise in the Labs without having to clamp tightly to my ears — and for someone who tends to wear headphones for hours, that's important.

These headphones definitely sound great for rock, rap, and electronica — any genre where bass really matters. The low end was punchy without being muddy, and the mids and highs were nicely balanced in the mix.
