Monster SuperFlat Mini speaker cables blend easily into your room's decor, while offering all the sonic performance you expect from Monster. Thanks to their unobtrusive, flat-profile design, these cables are perfect for running along baseboards or under carpet. They feature a Navajo White jacket, which is paintable to match any interior you'll barely even notice 'em! Each spool of SuperFlat Mini cable includes an 8-pack of gold-plated Monster Cable connectors.
This wire provided me with clear sound on my stereo without the muffle sound it had before and I have enough left over in the future to add two more speakers.
Pros: More than enough wire great sound
Good cables. Very flexible and of high quality. A little trick with connecting banana connectors or pin connectors, bur eventually you find the trick.
Pros: Good quality. Reasonable price.
Cons: Hard to attach banana connectors.
Great item ideal for hiding back speaker wire under the carpet. Excellent item would recommend to anybody that can not install cable in the wall. Its so flat you don't notice that you have wire under the carpet. I just used duct tape to keep in place.
Pros: Great design
Cons: No cons
Great space saving cables that are Aesthetically pleasing. Thought it would be difficult to strip but it was a breeze. The included banana plugs are horrible, but I didn't buy because of that feature. I have these running up my walls to my rear surround speakers, they look very unobtrusive and look a lot better than cable covers. The wife gave the thumbs up, so I'm not in the dog house.
Es un exelente cable con muy buenos terminales de banana a un muy buen precio. El servicio de Crutchfield siempre exelente y eficiente.
An excellent cable with very good banana terminals at a great price. The Crutchfield service is always very excellent and efficient.
Pros: Todo Everything
Cons: Nunguno NoneCrutchfield response on April 7, 2014 Translation provided by Crutchfield's Spanish Sales & Support team. Visit our new Spanish-language site at www.crutchfieldenespanol.com.
Very pliable wire, easy to handle, generally cooperates with efforts to route. I ran between a good quality rug mat and rug, and it virtually disappeared. I recommend a thick rug/carpet mat to get the most out of the flat design. I'm no "audiophile", but it seems to carry signals perfectly well. Only problem I had running was through a speaker stand, which was a pain. Absolutely required two of us to accomplish.
Pros: Pliability, ease of use, heavy enough to flatten out nicely. Seems to carry all the signal I can hear.
Cons: If you plan to run this through a satellite stand, plan to bring a friend.
Very good product to compliment your audio system
I was pleased with the performance of these cables, using them 60 continuous watts at twenty five foot lenths. I thought they were going to be silver in color, but are actually an eggshell white, and about 9/16" wide. One can paint them, I have chosen not to, as per my personal installation.
Pros: These cables are made of a soft pliable dialectric, which can help with making corners. As for the pins that come with this product, one can heat up the pins using a candle for heat, and with pliers can then bend the pins on an angle, which makes for an easier wall mount. Do so before crimping to cable.
Cons: There are only 4 cable mounting brackets, but there is a nice space between the actual wires of each cable where one can run a small screw directly through the cable, without possibly shorting them out. I did this quite easily. I recommend attaching the pins to the ends with two full crimps instead of the recommends one.
I used this wire under new carpet in my media room. It is the most pliable speaker wire I have ever use. You have to take care when stripping the ends but is not a problem. A good crimp tool is a must for attaching the speaker end pins. The wire works wonderful for under carpet.
Pros: easy to use. Nice speaker pins.
good quality more flexible then expected
A 50' spool with enough crimp-on connectors for 2 cables. I used it to create 2 15' cables for my new stereo/home theater setup.
Due to the flat shape, I couldn't strip the wires with a regular wire stripper, so I just scored the jacket with a knife and bent it the fully detach it from the copper core without damaging any of the strands (not difficult in the slightest, just took a couple of minutes extra). I own a crimping tool, so it took all of 2 minutes to attach the ends, and then I was in business.
They perform as expected, taking audio data from my amp and carrying it to the little boxes where sound comes out. I don't drink the speaker cable kool-aid, and the price was right so I'm happy
Pros: Easy to install, good price, sounds good, connectors included
Good cable used to connect Bose 301s to Pioneer sc-63. Speakers are admittedly not great so hard to assess quality of cables. I'd say the sound is solid
Pros: Easy to hide cable beneath rugs/baseboards for hidden connections without professional installation.
Cons: Flat design makes stripping insulation difficult without taking a bit of the copper with the rubber.
Bought two rolls of this wire two years ago. Sounded good at first. These are very flexible which means casing may wear off if care is not taken. Over time, the wires running under a throw rug have big wear spots with exposed wires. Ditto for some of the wires exposed with no carpet over them in high traffic areas. Sound now = not so great. In hindsight, we should have put a carpet pad between the wires and the jute backed carpet/taped the exposed wires down.
Awesome wire. Got 150 ft. from Crutchfield for a new system I also bought from you guys. Very easy to work with. Painted it to match my floor molding. Very discrete. Thanks again everyone at Crutchfield for making my Home Theater purchase so smooth. TR
Pros: easy to work with. paintable
The wire is good quality, soft wound copper in a flat jacket. I had trouble stripping the flat jacket and separating the 2 conductors. The center strip that holds the 2 conductors together kept ripping one on the jackets open so that I ended up with a 3" tag oprtion instaed of the 1/2 " I wanted, with a 2" free play. It took several tries before I just taped the one ripped jacket and gave up. Not impressed with it at all. Normal 16 gauge "zip cord" type wire would work just as well for my 50 watt system. The Monster wire was expensive lesson in overkill. I would not use it again except maybe in a high power, purist situation.
Pros: Lays flat and has good copper windings
Cons: Hard to strip and didn't work well with the pins provided in the kit.
I bought these speaker cables because I wanted cables with pre-attached connectors. While connectors come with the product, they are not attached. The picture makes it appear that they are already connected and is misleading.
Pros: Quality cables.
Cons: You have to attach the connectors yourself, requiring the tools and expertise to do it well.
This is the first time I've actually used a decent set of wires. I've always used the thin cheap see-thru variety before. I'm amazed at the difference between the two. These work very well. I like the fact that you can cut to whatever length you need. I did end up crimping one of the connectors a bit too tightly and breaking it in half.
Pros: Cut to length, flexable
Cons: connectors easy to break (my own fault)
The speaker wire is everything I thought it would be. The connectors went on very easily and they connected to my system perfectly.
The wire would be ok for very low cost electronics. I just didn't notice the wire being so narrow or I would have never bought this product. I just went by the product manufacture "Monster" so I bought 2 rolls of this stuff, which I will not be using. It would be ok for speakers being run by a 6 transistor radio to a 2 inch speaker if some one in this world even made those old transistor radios from back in the late 50s and early 60s.
wow those speaker wires are wonderful.my movies sound wonderful with those flat wires n sound is clear n more.i will be buying more of them soon.i had no problems with the hook ups i buy for them.if any1 looking for speaker wires get this 1.thanks again crutchfield.
Excellent wires, so easy to install! The only problem I had were with the
connectors, but I ended up not using them. A good buy!
These are excellent cables I'm glad i ordered them. thanks.
This is very flexible speaker wire that is easy to hook up and string around your room. The color also blends-in nicely with the walls and baseboard. It comes with connectors, but I couldn't get them to crimp so I just went with the bare wires which was fine with me and easily threaded into my terminals.
I recently bought a home theatre system off here and took the advice of the reviewers to buy some quality speaker wire. I bought 100 ft of the SuperFlat Mini and I love it. Not only is the sound quality great, I love the look of the wire. Easy to navigate where I want it.
With regular wire, if you want it taut, you have to bind it down on at least 2 ends. With the mini flat, you just drop it where you want and it will stay there (although you still have the option of buttoning it down).
Wow, what a great product. If you're in need of quality wire but don't want the hassle of trying to hide it, this is what you need. Great flexibility and easy to hide on walls, Monster flat wire is truly remarkable.
This flat speaker cable is great to lay under a new rug installation to cross a room to surround speakers. It also fits nicely along the baseboard and even between the baseboard and rug. I would recommend purchase of Monster Cable QL GMT-H Quick Lock Gold Banana Connectors; the connectors that are supplied with the cable are not easy to use.
The best speaker wires I ever bought. Monster is a company that knows what's best for there customer. Keep up the good work Monster and Crutchfield!
Overview: The Monster Cable SuperFlat Mini speaker wire consists of a single 50-foot length of 16-gauge wire (with both + and - conductors side-by-side) in a flat Navajo white jacket. The flat profile makes it less obtrusive than other cables. Monster's 24k patented Gold Pins are included with the cable, allowing you to attach the connectors after you have cut the wire to the length you need.
Note: The connectors are not pre-attached to the wire, and must be crimped onto the wire.
Paintable Jacket and Hardware: The Navajo white jacket, cable clamps and corner pieces may be painted to match any decor.
Flexible Design: The cables are specially designed to be flexible, so they can be easily routed around corners and doorways, along baseboards, and under carpet.
Heavy Duty Construction: Each cable is made with over 300 fine copper strands.
24k Gold Plated Connectors: The connectors are gold plated for maximum signal transfer, and to prevent corrosion.

No [ LUIS E Aug 19, 2015 ]
No, it does not have adhesive backing. You could purchase double back tape or use tacks through the center of the strip. That's what I did. The tacks worked fine. [ ROBERT Jan 14, 2014 ]
No, but I ran it underneath the carpet in our living room to a baseboard for surround speakers and it worked perfectly. [ TERRY R Jan 14, 2014 ]
There is no adhesive backing on this speaker wire, it is super flexible though and would probably lay very flat on almost any surface, if you were to use a tac or staple. [ JASON M Jan 14, 2014 ]
No adhesive backing [ MITCHELL F Jan 14, 2014 ]
No it does not [ DEBBIE Jan 14, 2014 ]
Hi Joe No adhesive backing but $2 will buy you some heavier double sided tape that will adhere to baseboards or walls. For what it's worth I'm extremely pleased with this cable and how easy it is to work with. [ BEN Jan 14, 2014 ]
Nope... [ ANTONE J Jan 14, 2014 ]
