Impressive performance from a stylish design

Headphone design is not just about delivering great sound to your ears. It's also about making something comfortable to wear that looks great and fits a mobile lifestyle. That's why Monster teamed with Italian fashion design company Diesel to produce the stylish VEKTR headphones. The unique multi-planar, fold-up design makes these on-ear 'phones as sleek as they are listenable, delivering the powerful bass response Monster is known for.

Powerful bass response with noise isolation

The Diesel VEKTR uses Monster's titanium-coated driver technology to deliver deep bass that is not overly aggressive, giving your music a low-end boost without obliterating the upper frequencies. The VEKTR's plush earpads provide a cushioned fit that works with the sturdy headband to create a tight seal on your ears. External noise is effectively silenced making sure every chest-rattling beat stays sealed in.

Product reviews from the Crutchfield Labs

Innovative design

Written by Ralph Graves, Staff Writer - Creative, on 8/17/2012 1:45:00 PM

Right out the box I knew the Diesel VEKTRs were different. The polygonal design of the VECKTRs is different. And it extends to the earcups, which have an angular design rather than a circular one.

When put them on, I recieved a surprise. Everything in the Labs got quieter. Much quieter. I'm not sure how Monster did it, but the headphones blocked out a lot of ambient sounds without even plugging them in.

I auditioned some music in the Labs, and was pleased with the overall sound. The VEKTRs deliver a good amount of detail. Although they did well with all the genres I tried, the VEKTRs seemed to sound best with electronica, rock, and rap. The bass was solid, and the mids and highs sounded tight.
