Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Firstly, I would like to say Thank You to Crutchfield for including the antenna adapter in the purchase of my new Kenwood head unit. I didn't know that the original antenna connection would not be compatible with my head unit. The antenna installation was simple. Just plug and play.

Pros: Plug and play, easy to plug in and install, definitely needed this part

Cons: Only con that I could think of is that the adapter is a little long. Would've liked it to be a bit smaller because the there's not enough space behind the unit but oh well... not that big on an issue for me.

Written by: George from Baltimore, MD on April 29, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased an in-dash double DIN receiver from Crutchfield for a 2010 Colorado. Crutchfield provided this antenna adapter at no cost as part of the purchase. Unfortunately, the adapter does not quite fit. I contacted technical support. They did not have a solution other than to say there was a note to remove the copper ring inside the adapter.

Pros: None

Cons: Not applicable for my vehicle. Locally purchased a Metra AW-ADGM adapter, which fit perfectly. It also was significantly shorter in length, another plus.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Nice adaptor. Was suggested by Crutchfield as an add on and was absolutely necessary. When I put in my new deck it took seconds to install. Only gripe is it's very long. I installed a media receiver so it was shorter and left a lot of space. Would have been tight with a CD player.

Pros: So easy to install

Cons: unneccessarily long.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The Pioneer MVH-X370BT is one good looking and sounding headunit. For not spending a ton of money, I'm as happy as can be. It took me maybe an hour to put install. Everything fit very well in my 1996 Camaro. The wiring harness was easy to put together also. Another thing, if you put the new antenna adapter in, it plugs into the headunit, not the piece that goes into the actual antenna. The Master Sheet can be a little confusing on that part. Overall I love this product. It works perfect and it looks great in the car. Very satisfied.
