Does what it's supposed to

It works. There was an extra wire hanging off of it that wasn't really explained in the directions, but I figured it was probably for a power antenna. I do have to say the FM reception on the clarion unit I used this with is much worse than the factory unit it replaced, but I can't say whether it's the fact it's using this adapter or if it's the unit itself.
Pros:
Does what it's supposed to do.
Cons:
None

Not having installed a stereo in some years I was surprised that this came along with a head unit. It would have been a real pain to realize that I would need this after starting the installation process.

Crutchfield is awesome in anticipating what the customer needs and bundling it all for a painless experience.

This is pretty standard fare. Does what it's supposed to do. TIP: when you are using this adapter, you do not need the antenna wire in the Honda adapter harness. I guess you can wire all 3 together but that one in the Honda20 harness won't go anywhere.

Came free with the radio but wasn't needed. On the 2009 Element LX, the factory antenna cable plugs right into the aftermarket radio.

No instructions come with this piece, so just know that you'll be connecting the blue power antenna cable to the wireharness of the head unit power antenna connection - otherwise your reception will probably suffer.
easy to connect and works well.

The blue wire connects to the "power antenna" lead from the headunit or a switched 12v source to provide power to the amplified antenna. You'll get poor reception is you just "taped it off"
