About the Metra 40-HD11 Antenna Adapter

This antenna adapter lets you connect an aftermarket car stereo to the factory antenna cable in select 2009-up Honda vehicles. The adapter has an OEM female plug on one end and a Motorola male plug on the other. Installation note: A blue wire is attached to the antenna adapter. When installing the adapter, the blue wire should be connected to the antenna turn-on lead of your new car stereo. Please check the stereo's manual for more information. Warranty: 60 days.

Compatibility: This antenna adapter allows you to connect an aftermarket receiver to a Honda factory antenna lead. This adapter is for select 2009 and up Honda vehicles.

Installation Note: A blue wire is attached to the antenna adapter. When installing the adapter, the blue wire should be connected to the antenna turn-on lead of your new head unit.

blue wire connects to the aftermarkets radios' power antenna/ turn on lead.

Check the wiring harness for the main head unit- there should be a corresponding blue wire to power the antennae amplifier in the car. If not, this simply needs to be connected to a switched 12V out (e.g. the power amp 'on' wire).

It's for power, if you have a power extending antenna you would hook the blue wire to the power for the extension motor.
