Q
I have a apline head unit and maestro rr2 unit that comes with a wire harness for my vehicle.(2022 SUBARU FORESTOR) both have a blue power antenna wire that need to be connected to one another. The question is does this mean I dont need to hook up the blue power wire in this radio antenna adapter harness? Or does it still need to be conected in a 3 way configuration as in all 3 wires crimped together. 1 from the Alpine head unit, 1 from the maestro wire harness, 1 from THIS Antenna adapter?

Q
If I purchase the Crutchfield ReadyHarnessT Service option will the blue antenna power wire that needs to be connected to the 12 pin of Boss BE920WCPA be connected for me? All in all, if I purchase this service will all the loose wires (steering wheel control adapter/module, antenna & etc) be professionally connected/crimped therein upon me receiving the head-unit for my vehicle making it easier and a seamless plug and play installation not requiring me to wire anything manually myself? I ask because I do not have the tools nor enough confidence to manually connect loose wires.

Greetings Isalet, and thank you for your question. The answer depends on the vehicle, and the interface for the vehicle to install a new stereo. With touch screen radios, there are additional wires that standard CD players would not have that in most cases need to be wired in the vehicle as well. Please contact one of our advisors with your vehicle information at 800-324-9695 to best answer this question.

Q
Does the Blue wire need to be connected in a Toyota Corolla 2018 LE model for the Boss Audio BE920WCPA?
isalet  May 29, 2023
1 answer
A
That is correct, Isalet. With this adapter the blue wire will power the antenna and that does need to be connected for your AM/FM radio to work with the new Boss radio. You will want to connect to the Blue antenna power wire in pin 12 of the Boss radio's harness. I hope this helps!

When I got the wire kit for my car for the antenna it doesn't go anywhere because I don't have a power antenna if you do not have a power antenna I would not worry about it I just cut the end of it and left it hanging
james edward  Aug 02, 2017
A
There is a plug from the antenna that looks like the pointy metal end coming off the white plug. Plug that into the white plug and the one on the adapter goes into the radio. The blue wire goes to the blue wire in the wiring harness for remote power to operate a power antenna.
