Metra 70-2021 Bypass Harness
The Metra 70-2021 harness enables you to install a new car stereo in your Impala or Monte Carlo. It uses a "jumper" to bypass the factory amplifier, which means you don't have to run new speaker wire from your new radio to your car's speakers — this saves you a lot of time on the installation, so you can start enjoying your music sooner.
Since you didn't have to cut off your car's original radio connector, it's easier to put the factory radio back in when you sell your vehicle or return it at the end of the lease. Just plug the factory radio back in and keep the aftermarket stereo. Please enter your vehicle information or call an Advisor at 1-888-955-6000 to find out if this harness is compatible with your vehicle. Warranty: 60 days.

Compatibility Note: We have reviews on our website stating this bypass harness works with vehicles such as the 2001 Tahoe and 2002 Suburban. Though it may physically fit these vehicles, along with others, the front and rear speaker wires are reversed on one side of the factory amp hanress (meaning the fader would work backwards if this adapter is used) in any vehicle other than the 2000 Impala and 2000-2001 Monte Carlo.

Wish I would have found this when I put the new radio in my car. The factory amp went out, so I had to cut and splice the input wires to the output wires. This would have saved me a ton of time, and would look a lot cleaner too.
