First, attach the color-coded wires on your Cructhfield harness to the wires from your new stereo. If you don't know how to use a soldering iron, we recommend that you purchase some wire connectors that you'll use to attach the Crutchfield harness to your factory harness. Now, once this harness is connected to your new stereo, you'll be able to plug right into your car's factory radio connector. This harness makes installing your new stereo easier, and allows you to put the factory radio back when you sell your vehicle or return it at the end of the lease. A detailed instruction sheet comes with the harness. Warranty: 60 days. Please read this important note: This harness may not contain provisions for every wire needed to complete your installation, and it will not accommodate special navigation, video, or factory steering wheel control connections. You will need a special adapter if you want your factory steering wheel audio controls to work with your new stereo. Connections: Note: You'll need to make a ground connection between your new receiver and your car's metal chassis. 12V constant power 12V switched power power antenna turn-on factory amp turn-on dimmer left front speaker +/- right front speaker +/- left rear speaker +/- right rear speaker +/- Hands-on research from the Crutchfield Labs (what are the Labs?) Thanks crutchfield, couldn't find this harness anywhere else. Was this review helpful? Yes | No 5 out of 5 Big Help Written By DickG, Atlanta on Tuesday, February 08, 2011 It was the technical support and all the little "add-ons" like this wiring harness adapter that convinced me to pay a little more and purchase this radio from Crutchfield. I know I could have probably ordered the adapter somewhere else, but it was nice to know that I was getting everything I needed with one order, and not have to search around and take a chance that I was ordering the wrong thing. The adapter worked perfectly. It took a little time to do the soldering but once it was done all that was left was to snap the connectors to the radio and the car's wiring harness and I was done.
