These harnesses allow you to plug your new speakers into the factory connectors present in your vehicle's speaker openings. Warranty: 60 days.

Note: Some aftermarket speakers have terminals that are wider than this harness's slide-on connectors. You may need to widen the harness's female slide-on connectors, or use the slide terminals that may be included with the speakers. If you need to connect your new speaker's connectors to the Crutchfield harness, soldering is best, and crimping is also very popular — see "Accessories."

Note: Most vehicles will require additional installation parts — please identify your vehicle if you haven’t done so. You can also call an Advisor for more information.

These wiring harnesses were definitely the easiest part of the speaker install. The harness has a speaker connection on one end and the Toyota factory connector on the other - eliminating the need to splice any wires.

Does not fit 01-06 (Gen. 5) Camry's Rear Deck OEM harness

Written by: Norm from Florida on November 15, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These connectors frustrated the heck out of me until I discovered that they will not fit the OEM rear deck harness connectors. Fortunately, the drivers I was replacing provided the connectors that I required. I simply butt spliced the original connectors onto these and I was able to complete the installation despite Crutchfield's recommendation that these would indeed fit.

Pros: These connectors do fit a 2002 Camry's front door speakers.

Cons: Do not fit 2001-2006 Generation 5 (XV30) Toyota Camry OEM rear deck speaker connectors.

Crutchfield response on November 18, 2014 The front doors and rear deck do indeed require different speaker connectors, so it sounds like you might've been sent the wrong ones. We're double-checking our warehouse inventory to make sure this doesn't happen again. Thanks for letting us know.

Fronts fit perfectly, Rears had wrong connectors.

2001 Chevrolet Prizm
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Would give a 5 star rating based on the front ones. They fit perfectly. They mounted to the stock mounting points and were the exact right length to avoid interference with the windows.

Unfortunately, the rears had incorect connector. The wires were the correct length and the pins were correct, but they would not fit the stock conectors. I spent 20 minutes with a pick pulling the pins from all the connectors and connecting them bare and wrapping them with tape. Still better than not having them, IMO, since I didn't have to cut any wires. But was frustrating when I got the speakers installed and couldn't plug them in.

Pros: One of them was exact perfect fit.

Cons: One of them had wrong connectors.

A wiring adapter that really adapted my wiring!

Written by: BigSHug825 from Manassas, va on February 7, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Woah, let me tell you. This wiring adapter, boy, does it adapt wires. I mean, what else can you say about a wiring adapter? It even gave my wife a foot rub! Once, I bought a wiring adapter that called me a jerk and refused to adapt my wires! Turns out it was for a different car manufacturer, so it kind makes sense. But this guy, woweey! Consider my adapted!

Pros: It fit my car. It functions for its intended purpose.

Cons: None.

Features

Crutchfield Speaker Harness: Crutchfield speaker harnesses prevent having to cut your vehicle's factory speaker wiring when replacing the factory speakers with aftermarket car speakers. Each Crutchfield speaker harness features two female quick-slide connectors on one end that attach directly to your new aftermarket car speakers, and a proprietary connector on the other end that connects to your vehicle's factory speaker plug.

Quick-Slide Connectors: The Crutchfield speaker harness is equipped with large (positive) and small (negative) female quick-slide terminals. These quick-slide terminals fit directly onto most aftermarket car stereo speaker terminals (slight crimping may be required). In the rare cases that the quick-slide terminals do not fit your new speaker terminals, you will need to replace the quick-slide connectors on the Crutchfield speaker harness with the correct size terminal or solder the Crutchfield speaker harness to your aftermarket speaker's terminals.

Note: Installation tools, hardware, and accessories are not included and sold separately. Please see the Accessories tab for recommendations and availability.

Quick-Slide Terminal Measurements: The positive female quick-slide terminal measures 0.205" (inner width), while the negative female quick-slide terminal measures 0.110" (inner width).

Wire Code Chart: Two identical Crutchfield speaker harnesses are included.

Customer Q&A

Crutchfield asked
Why did you buy this?

The best compromise between price and quality that is confirmed by previous order of speakers for a Kia Optima. If it worked previously, why experiment? This is the same reason why I have been purchasing from Crutchfield catalogs since the early '80s. In the particular case of speaker wiring harnesses, why splice when everything can be plugged together? [ REMY  Jan 21, 2016 ]
