These harnesses will allow you to plug your new speakers into the factory connectors present in the speaker openings for your vehicle.

Note: Some aftermarket speakers have terminals that are wider than this harness's slide-on connectors. You may need to widen the harness's female slide-on connectors, or use the slide terminals that may be included with the speakers. If you need to connect your new speaker's connectors to the Crutchfield harness, soldering is best, and crimping is also very popular — see "Accessories."

Includes Crutchfield's 60-Day Total Satisfaction Guarantee

Note: Most vehicles will require additional installation parts — please identify your vehicle if you haven’t done so, then check here for a list of parts. You can also call an Advisor for more information.

Features

Crutchfield Speaker Harness: Crutchfield speaker harnesses prevent you from having to cut your vehicle's factory speaker plugs when replacing your factory speakers with aftermarket car speakers. The Crutchfield speaker harness features two female quick-slide connectors on one end to attach directly to your new aftermarket car speakers & a proprietary Molex connector on the other end that connects to your vehicle's factory speaker plug.

Quick-Slide Connectors: The Crutchfield speaker harness is equipped with a large (positive) & small (negative) female quick-slide terminal. These quick-slide terminals fit directly onto most aftermarket car stereo speaker terminals (slight crimping may be required). In rare cases that the quick-slide terminals do not fit your car speaker terminals, you will need to solder the Crutchfield speaker harness to your aftermarket speaker's terminals or replace the quick-slide connectors on the Crutchfield speaker harness with the correct size terminal.

Note: Installation tools, hardware, & accessories are not included & sold separately. Please see the Accessories tab for recommendations & availability.

Quick-Slide Terminal Measurements: The positive female quick-slide terminal measures 0.205" (inner width), while the negative female quick-slide terminal measures 0.115" (inner width).

Wire Code Chart: Two identical Crutchfield speaker harnesses are included.

Fit with replacement slide terminals

Written By David808, SE Pennsylvania on Thursday, October 30, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Used these to install Rockford Fosgate Punch speakers in 2010 Mercury Mariner. As noted in the description, one of the connectors on each was did not fit the spade connector on the speaker. However, Crutchfield provided a collection of spade and slip connectors to accommodate this. You just have to strip the appropriate wire and clamp on the right-sized connector. After that, the harness fit the Mariner as needed.

Pros: No need to strip off the OEM harness and clamp on slip connectors for the speaker spades. That could be an aggravating task.

Cons: Slip connectors not perfect fit for Rockford Fosgate Punch spade connectors.

These fit the speakers and truck connections well, however after being installed for 1 week one of the connections came loose and will need to be replaced. I tried to reinsert the wire, but it fell out again. Crutchfield is sending out a replacement immediately with no hassle.

Pros: Great fit at speaker and at truck Crutchfield tech support

Cons: quality control may not be the best, connection came out from harness.

Speaker wiring for F150

Written By Grandpadicky, Charleston, SC on Thursday, July 10, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

While you need to use the speaker wiring harness to adapt to your existing speakers, the snap in connector didn't line up correctly with the factory connector. Slight modifications and a little elbow grease got them together

Pros: Good product if it works.

Cons: Maybe a bad mold on the connector but it works fine.

Wire Slides Out

Written By John, Arizona on Wednesday, July 09, 2014

I tried plugging the first one into the factory harness and 1 lead pushed right out of the plug as others also said. I was able to slide it back in and wrapped electrical tape around the connector. I was then able to install with no further issue. I wrapped the second one with tape before trying to install and this one was fine. Others indicated that the polarity of the wires may be reversed on these. I didn't read that until done with the install. The speakers sound good overall, so the polarity may be correct.

Pros: Able to install without any wire splicing.

Cons: Wires come out of the plug far too easy. There are quite a few complaints on this issue that are quite old and Crutchfield continues to offer them..This was my first purchase from Crutchfield and not the way to inspire confidence.

Crutchfield response on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 These harnesses are the standard choice for installing new speakers in many Ford vehicles, and most of the time they offer solid connections and easy installation for your new speakers. As with any wiring job, it's a good idea to give each wire a tug to make sure the connection is strong. As others have suggested, a little tape (or for the purist, solder) will take care of any lose connection.

No Guesswork

Written By Damon, Naples, FL on Friday, July 04, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The speaker wiring harness was provided with my purchase of Infinity REF-8602cfx for my 2014 Ford Mustang. The wiring harness provided by Crutchfield fit perfectly with the connector in the vehicle. The speaker side connectors were perfect for my speakers as well, and the wires are labeled positive and negative. I couldn't ask for a better product.

Pros: Easy to install, perfect match to my vehicle, no additional charge with purchase of speakers

Great idea!

Written By Tom, Bradenton, FL on Monday, June 30, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Back in the day, I did car stereo installation part-time for a big box store. Wish we had these little gems back then! What an easy adaptation to the OE wiring at the speaker! Back then, we'd either tap into the OE wiring and leave the OE speaker plug dangling around or wire tied in the speaker pod, or we'd flat out cut the wires and solder/tape the aftermarket bayonet connector wiring directly. Great idea to develop these.

Pros: Keeps your OE wiring pristine. No cutting, no tapping into existing wiring.

Cons: Crutchfield website wasn't clear on ordering these, I ended up ordering an extra pair by accident.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These are awesome, why can't everything come with connector wires? With these you literally clip them to the new speakers, unplug the old speakers, and plug the new speakers in. Done. No splicing or wiring needed. 10-20 minutes to install the speakers and most of that time was taking the door apart.

Pros: Simplifies the connection process and drastically cuts down install time

Cons: none

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These make it a lot easier to install. However, about a day after the install, I noticed one of my speakers was cutting in and out while driving. When I got home, I removed the door panel to inspect. I found that one of the pins in the plug had come loose and was not making a good connection. I was able to fix it rather quickly but I am use to a higher quality of product from Crutchfield.

Pros: Makes install easier

Cons: Poorly made product.

These speaker adapters are a very convenient item. The polarity is correct on them, unlike some of the ones you may find on e-bay for less money (you get a free pair of them when you purchase a set of speakers from Crutchfield) It would be wise to double check the polarity anyways.

Pros: Easy to use Fits perfectly Polarity is correct

Cons: A little pricy when purchased on their own.

Ford speaker wire adaptor.

Written By Richard, Milton, FL on Wednesday, March 05, 2014

While its great to have an adaptor so no splicing is required. When plugged into the factory socket a slight misalignment from the manufacture plus low quality pins caused them to be pushed out requiring a bit of finesse to get them to work.

Pros: No splicing.

Cons: Pins push out

3 out of 4.

Written By Eric, Tracy, Ca on Monday, March 03, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I got the connectors free for purchasing speakers, which is awesome. The connectors worked great. Made installation a snap. The only complaint I had was that one out of the four connectors wasn't made correctly, so when I plugged it in to my factory harness, one of the wires pushed out of the connector. I didn't want to complain to Crutchfield because it was free anyway, so I superglued the wire back in, and it has been fine for three months now. Other than that, 3 out of the 4 were great.

Pros: Free with purchase, easy installation.

Cons: One out of the four I received came apart.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These wiring harnesses make speaker installation a breeze and give you piece of mind that you have not cause any issues by cutting factory wires. Just make sure you secure any slack so they do not interfere with window operation on some vehicles.

Pros: simple to install, free with purchase.

Cons: None

Could not be any easier than snap on the connection and connect to existing harness. I did have one come off from the window opening and closing but it was me not verifying the clearance, a little bend and all was good.

Speaker Wiring Harness-It's a Snap!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Just imagine being able to obtain optimal sound quality just by connecting the plugs together. Then knowing the connection is complete when you hear a snap (as the plugs connect).

Pros: No mess to clean upon completion of install.

Cons: Really? Do yourself a favor and don't forget to add these to your next install.

Good product

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The wiring and plug worked great. I had to modify because my speakers accept wire directly, but that is not a problem. In addition, I was warned that Crutchfield had the positive and negative backward for the F-150s, but I didn't experience any mixed wiring with the plug. It works great and provides a very confident connection.

Pros: Easy to use without much thought.

Cons: None.

OEM quality match:

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The plug ends match up and will make it easy to upgrade my speakers without running fresh wire. Once I upgrade to an external amp, I will run new wire, but for simplicity and time, these will help me upgrade my sound now. Thanks!

Pros: Perfect match to OEM plugs, and wire gauge.

Cons: Only worth the money if you are not running your own wire.
