About the Speaker Wiring Harnesses

These harnesses will allow you to plug your new speakers into the factory connectors present in the speaker openings for your vehicle.

These harnesses will allow you to plug your new speakers into the factory connectors present in the speaker openings for your vehicle.

Note: Some aftermarket speakers have terminals that are wider than this harness's slide-on connectors. You may need to widen the harness's female slide-on connectors, or use the slide terminals that may be included with the speakers. If you need to connect your new speaker's connectors to the Crutchfield harness, soldering is best, and crimping is also very popular — see "Accessories."

Features

Speaker Harness: These speaker harnesses prevent you from having to cut your vehicle's factory speaker plugs when replacing your factory speakers with aftermarket car speakers. The speaker harness features two female quick-slide connectors on one end to attach directly to your new aftermarket car speakers & a proprietary Molex connector on the other end that connects to your vehicle's factory speaker plug.

Quick-Slide Connectors: The speaker harness is equipped with a large (positive) & small (negative) female quick-slide terminal. These quick-slide terminals fit directly onto most aftermarket car stereo speaker terminals (slight crimping may be required). In rare cases that the quick-slide terminals do not fit your car speaker terminals, you will need to solder the speaker harness to your aftermarket speaker's terminals or replace the quick-slide connectors on the speaker harness with the correct size terminal.

Note: Installation tools, hardware, & accessories are not included & sold separately. Please see the Accessories tab for recommendations & availability.

Quick-Slide Terminal Measurements: The positive female quick-slide terminal measures 0.205" (inner width), while the negative female quick-slide terminal measures 0.115" (inner width).

Wire Code Chart: Two identical speaker harnesses are included.

Q
What gauge is the speaker wire?
ben  Dec 07, 2017
1 answer
A
I'm afraid the exact gauge of the wire is not provided from the manufacturer. However, it's likely somewhere between 18-22 gauge to match the factory wiring in most vehicles. For more details or to discuss further, please contact an Advisor directly by phone (888.955.6000) or online chat. Thanks!

Q
What is the name of the plug I need to connect the stereo to the harness?

A
These speaker harnesses features two female quick-slide connectors on one end to attach directly to your new aftermarket car speakers & a proprietary Molex connector on the other end that connects to your vehicle's factory speaker plug. A separate harness may be required to install a new radio in your vehicle though. To find out what you'll need for that you can contact a Product Advisor using the "Contact Us" link at the top of our website. I hope that helps.
