Axxess XSVI-9005-NAV

This Axxess XSVI-9005-NAV wiring interface lets you replace the factory radio in your 2005-18 Mercedes-Benz using the existing wiring and connectors. Connect the Axxess interface to your aftermarket radio, mount the module, and plug it into the existing factory plug. This interface provides the accessory power wire needed to connect an aftermarket stereo, along with all the connections required to install an aftermarket navigation receiver.

Also, once you turn off the ignition in your Mercedes-Benz, the radio continues to play until you open the door. This interface maintains that function with your new aftermarket radio. Features

Vehicle Compatibility: The Axxess Integrate XSVI-9005-NAV radio replacement interface module allows you to replace the factory radio in select 2005-up Mercedes vehicles (non-amplified factory system or when replacing amplified system) with an aftermarket head unit. Please consult the Crutchfield Car Selector to see if your vehicle and aftermarket head unit is compatible.

Make Model Year
Mercedes C-Class 2005-2011
CLK Class 2005-2009
E Class 2010-up
G Class 2007-2012
GLK Class 2010-2012
R Class 2006-2011
SLK Class 2005-2011
Note: The XSVI-9005-NAV interface is designed to be used in select Mercedes-Benz vehicles without a factory amplified sound system or when replacing the entire factory amplifier system. The XSVI-9005-NAV does not retain your vehicle's factory amplifiers.

+12V Accessory Output: There is no 12-volt accessory wire in the factory harness, which requires the installer to run an accessory wire to the fuse box or underneath the steering column when installing an aftermarket radio. The XSVI-9005-NAV is designed to provide a 12-volt, 10-amp switched accessory output (red wire).

Navigation Outputs: The XSVI-9005-NAV provides essential wires required for aftermarket radios that have navigation. VSS (Vehicle Speed Sense), Reverse, and Parking Brake wires are provided. This helps to cut down the installation time, since the installer does not have to look for these wires in the vehicle.

Retained Accessory Power (R.A.P.): The Retained Accessory Power (R.A.P.) function supplies power to the radio after the ignition is shut off until one of the front doors are opened. This function is retained by the XSVI-9005-NAV interface.

OEM Steering Wheel Control Compatible (optional): The XSVI-9005-NAV interface features a right-angle 3.5mm connector that lets you keep your vehicle's OEM steering wheel controls via the optional Axxess Steering Wheel Control Interface (120ASWC1, sold separately).

Color Codes: Wiring up the XSVI-9005-NAV is like wiring up any other wire harness that would attach to an aftermarket radio's harness. The Metra/EIA wire code can be found on the back of the interface's package that will aid you in the wiring of your aftermarket radio The XSVI-9005-NAV interface contains the following wire leads.

2018 Mercedes Sprinter oem vehicle shows 2x 8 pin plugs, and one 12 pin plug. I am assuming the 2x 8 pin out to blank speaker output, I am not seeing connection between 12 pin and control box as seen on online picture?

Q
Which 12 pin connector on the harness should the module be connected to? They are wired differently but both can mate with the module. Instructions leave out this CRITICAL detail. One has connector has many more wires than the other, the other is labelled 'SWC harness'. Which one? Sugess you label it ' TThx.

The "SWC is for the steering wheel control. I had to try the different connections to find out which one makes the unit power on. I also had to connect to the very back factory harness. Sorry not much help.

Q
How can I tell which oem stereo / amp my car has...is there a code on my build sheet for my 06 slk280 r171?

I compared the two different systems in the 2006 Mercedes SLK class vehicles and found the Harman Kardon system adds speakers mounted in between the seats. Another way is to look behind the passenger's side floorboard front wall for an amp. It will be behind a metal support plate.
