Product was an exact replacement for the center dash piece in my 2010 F-150. It fit perfectly and everything snapped back into place. The finish is Different from the factory piece, but looks nice as well.

Pros: Perfect fit. Looks factory

Cons:

2014 Ford F-150 XL, replacing am/fm head unit with a kenwood touch screen DVD/MP3/siriusxm/rear camera upgrade. The main dash replacement piece was not needed, the stock one worked fine and looked a ton better, I have no intention to spray paint it a different color, otherwise it's been worth it. I only used the plastic bracket included, but ended up snapping one of the connections, don't tighten it down all the way

Pros: See review

This kit fit perfectly into my dash opening and is similar in quality to the original. There are no gaps and all factory attachments fit perfectly. Unit is easy to remove if I need to make upgrades (i.e; cables for adding amps, etc...)

Pros: Everything fits perfectly

Cons: wish it came in chrome!

Simple yet effective

Written by: Scott from Ohio on July 27, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The outer framing plate fits perfect in my dash, looks close to the original.. about the only issue I had with it was the alignment with the 3 piece bracket on the stereo -- no reference marks or any way to gauge where you are with the outer frame .. had to set it in take put on the outer, take off, tweak positioning, on off etc. until I got a good symmetrical fit into the outer frame's opening as there is a small amount of gap. The two pieces overlap well but the "lip" on the inner frame definitely shows whether you got the stereo in there straight or not. Mainly a pain due to the Ford design in the center plate inter locking with the two side trim pieces, so several steps to get it securely seated. So hopefully your better at "eyeballing" the alignment on the stereo mounting brackets. But very good look and fit, ESPECIALLY for the price in my opinion. Transfers your climate controls from your original face plate so helps maintain the look. Only thing I can think of is the matte black version is smooth and all of my black surfaces in the truck have a texture to them so that makes it stand out slightly. But I think the stereo is a pretty good distraction from that.

Pros: Simple to install, does what it should

Cons:

This kit was easy to use, and fit well, but the smooth matte finish doesn't look the same as the textured finish I had in my truck with the stock stereo. It does look good, and still compliments the truck well, but I would've preferred matching texture.

Pros: Easy to use, looks good.

Cons: Doesn't match the truck's original plastic at all.

Pros: Great for the type of F-150 I have.

Cons: May have to paint it to match the interior color of your truck.

Cheap looking, not suggested

Written by: Chris from Niagara Falls, Ontario on May 21, 2014

Gets the job done, but with the flat black look it appears very cheap and aftermarket when installed. I opted for the Metra High Gloss install kit instead.

Pros: Serves it's purpose, easy to mount

Cons: Very cheap looking, definitely not suggested for those who wish to maintain the OEM look.

This is a nice set, I prefer the flat black. The gloss is a bit over the top for me.

Pros: Fits well, plus with the double din opening I can have my Nav/dvd/

Cons: The finish is a matt black, the original finish on the OEM panel has a texture. It would of been nice to have the same finish.

Not crazy about the design of this kit. The bezel within the bezel made for a sloppy looking installation. Fit and finish were good. I would've preferred textured kit availability to match the stock look. In the end I replaced it with a Scosche kit which made for a cleaner look

Pros: Good fit

Cons: Flat finish and double bezel

I gave this 5 stars but there are a few things I'm not crazy about the unit fit flawlessly just like OEM wish they made touchscreen openings in various sizes to match the different sizes of the touchscreens available.

Pros: Fits like OEM

Cons: Fill boarder for use with smaller touchscreens and texture of the fill boarder didn't match the finish of the finish of the face plate. The face plate itself did match the finish of the OEM climate controls.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is the third vehicle I have used one of these kits in over the past couple years. Two were used in grandaughters Mustangs and this one used in my F-150 FX4. I attempted to locate a glossy trim panel Ford terms as "luxury interior" trim but failed. This flat black still fit in nicely with minimum esthetic loss. I can't imagine anyone putting in an after market head unit without one of these kits.

Pros: Fits great.

Cons: Couldn't find one identical to my interior.

on a side note, removing the airbag and traction control buttons from the other faceplate was a pain in the rear

Pros: Works like it should
