This was used for a 2009 Dodge Journey to install a Pioneer App 4 radio. It did complete the job to fit, but its not very tight. The factory radio had side clips to ensure that it was locked in and this kit does not have them. With it being a low price and it fit my car I made the purchase, but should have done more research and paid a little extra for one to ensure that it was an exact fit.
Pros: The price. Should fit most vehicles. Easy to use
Cons: Was not an exact fit.
Pros: ease of install
It works, and I'm not sure anyone else makes a kit for Wranglers. Once it's all installed, it doesn't really fit that well. Gaps around the edges, etc.
Pros: it works
Cons: it's ugly
This item works as it should and attached easily to the radio and to my vehicle. Looks good (matches dash) after final install.
Pros: Looks good.
Good fit. Used in two setups this month (two Jeeps) and works great.
Easy to put on. Is not a perfect fit for 2010 Dodge Challenger.
These worked well with my 2015 Jeep Wrangler, but did not fit quite as nicely as some of the other dash kits I've used over the years. With MOPAR using a non-standard sized opening I find there's a slight gap above and below my Pioneer AVIC-8100NEX. Since this is designed to work with a variety of different head units some gaps are to be expected, I just wish there would have been a trim ring option to make it flow better.
fit like it should
Worked perfect for mounting 2 din Clarion.
Cons: Need to trim entire top 1/8" of factor dash to squeeze 2-din in. I melted mine with a soldering iron. Not any problem with this kit specifically.
Worked good, plastic holes could be better but it doesn't rattle or move.
Pros: Easy to install
Cons: Could be stronger
these do not fit the radio without modifying them. I had to cut the upper and lower inside corners on each one to get them to fit the radio and have the radio even with the front of the dash I also had to modify the holes in the brackets since when moving them back to make thee radio flush there are no holes to use thus I had to hack saw one of the holes to make the slot longer so it would line up with the radio holes once in the dash they do look ok however
Pros: look good when in stalled
Cons: had to modiifly the brackets to make them work with the radio I had
So this fit the dash perfect and looks great but with my pioneer avh x3700bhs reciver it forces the reciver to sit back too far leaving a visable gap all the way around the reciver and the dash. If I had a reciver with a removable face then I think it would be perfect but since mine doesn't it leaves a gap. Very easy to install though
Pros: Fits dash and easy install
Cons: Doesn't fit the reciver depthCrutchfield response on October 20, 2015 We forwarded this review to our Technical Support team for follow-up. Lifetime tech support comes with every Crutchfield purchase.
fit perfect but mounting screws were to short
Pros: good fit
Cons: screws too short
Like others, seems a bit flimsy, why does it not come with appropriate screws? (Or Crutchfield provide the appropriate screws for the specific radio....). But fit is excellent & it does the job.
Cons: Plastic seems flimsy- screws not provided. (Again- why does Crutchfield not include appropriate screws in the installation package?)
Not quite how to score this. I'd say I am neutral, but that isn't an option. It appears to be made well. The holes in the side allow lots of flexibility for attaching it to the aftermarket head unit. I have seen some pics of very clean installs with these parts, but my results were different. I don't blame the adapters because they are meant to be universal. When mounting my Pioneer AVH-X3700BHS head unit in my 2011 Wrangler the head unit is set back about an 1/8" from being flush with the dash. The adapters have a lip on them that is butting against a step in the side/face of the radio so I can't really pull the unit any further forward without some modifications. I think they are designed to work with a unit where the face extends a little further from the metal enclosure of the head unit.
Pros: Price and versatility
Cons: May not be the best fit for your head unit and vehicle
It works.. Someone else mentioned difficult to tell which side is which.. TRUE.. Had to pull the deck back out of the dash as I was putting it all together and swap sides.. Also leaves the deck sitting about 1/8" to deep into the dash and leaves an open gap between the head unit and the mounting plates..
Fit was great in my 2015 Jeep Wrangler
Pros: Fit great with my pioneer 3200bt
Cons: No screws were included to attach to the deck
Used this to install a JVC double-din unit in my 2015 Jeep Wrangler.
Pros: Everything fit, no issues.
Cons: Seems a little flimsy, but no issues.
Mounted up to my Jensen VX 4025 Head unit with no issue, and left a clean look in my 2013 Avenger
Pros: easy install
Fits nicely and somewhat seemlessly.
The brackets are made of plastic and they seem flimsy. They were easy to install but I worry that they will break with time.
Pros: Easy to install. Fit.
Cons: Flimsy plastic. Could break.
Worked as intended
Looks great and it makes it looks factory.
nice item, made installation easy professional looking installation.
Pros: easy installation nice fit.
Cons: . none
This product made the correct fit in my Wrangler but it didn't have good instructions and I couldn't determine what one went on the left and the right
Pros: Correct fitment for my jeep
Cons: Poor instructions for install Flimsy
It fits perfectly! I wish it was metal or much durable plastic!
Pros: Color matched the dash and fits perfectly.
Cons: Cheap plastic!
Fits well. Looks like a poor fit with gaps between the plastic and the radio until you put the dash trim on. Then it closes the gaps and looks very clean.
Pros: professional look when complete.
Easy to use looks good
Pros: Easy to use
Used for a Pioneer head unit in a 12 RAM 1500. Product does as it states and completed the install nicely. Provided with plenty of hardware. Depending on the head unit lining up several screws may be a bit difficult. I would have liked to have seen the holes countersunk so that when attaching the kit it simply holds and does not crush the plastic.
Pros: Completes installation, looks clean
Cons: Not the strongest plastic, but good for what it is
I really dislike this adapter... Would like to have seen some implementation of usb or audio in port. And the plastic doesn't just feel cheap it looks cheap. Would like to have seen metal used.
Pros: fits radio well
Cons: doesn't look or feel like quality material, gaps by radio
Did not fit my 2012 dodge ram very well. had to make LOTS of modifications.
Pros: sorta fit
Cons: plastic, would be better mas out of metal.
Installed in my Jeep Wrangler. Great product did what it was suppose to.
Cons: Did not come with hardware so I had to purchase my own. But it cost very little so no big deal.
Fits perfectly, but is not made with the best material. I used a phillips screwdriver and the screw broke plastic; however, looks great with the double din in my challenger.
Pros: Fits flush
Cons: Mediocre plastic
Works fine, no issues.
The stereo I installed looks great and this dash kit was the icing on the cake. Looks like a factory install
It's ok but it could be better
Pros: I just don't like how it look in my car
Cons: I think it's To flimsy
Simple product, makes aftermarket install (Pioneer AVH-2600 into 2014 Dodge Challenger) look OEM
Makes mounting a breeze!
Pros: Simple to use
Haven't use this yet but looks to be a good product. I bought it in order to mount a cb and stereo in the dash of my 2010 JKU.
Instructions says to use screws that came with stereo to mount brackets to stereo. The plastic is too thick that the screws are too short. This install come with no screws.
Pros: easy to understand
Cons: need thinner side plastic so hardware from stereo will work.
This came with the radio and it fit the 2010 perfect
Pros: Worked and come with all parts and screws needed
Cheaply made. Fits fine.
Pros: Fits Fine
Cons: Cheaply made
Makes my aftermarket radio look like the stock radio
Pros: Looks great, fits perfect
This is the first DDIN kit I have used. Overall, it works great. It blends well with my dash. The only minor issue I had, was the plastic is somewhat thick on the sides, and the mounting screws provided with my HU weren't long enough to catch. Luckily, I had some slightly longer screws on hand.
Pros: Blends well with dash
2014 Jeep Patriot 4x4. Flimsy at best. They have holes for every conceivable radio configuration so getting it installed is a snap. The problem is that the first pothole you encounter will cause the mounting bracket to fail. I noticed immediately after installation that the dual din unit was starting to sag. 2 days later I hit a pothole and the unit collapsed into the space behind the dash. Crutchfield was nice enough to supply me a replacement mounting bracket. I will attempt to rigg something up from behind and beneath the unit to support it further. All this could have been avoided if they fabricated it from metal. Cheaply made and shameful garbage.
Cons: Deceitful trash. Not made to support DDin DVD head units. I wouldn't dream of using these for anything.
Like my title says they work just not all that well. You are suppose to use the supplied screws that came with my aftermarket head unit but these screws only fit in 2 spots on either side of the unit. So it works but it's not the best.
DID NOT THINK I NEEDED THIS ON MY 2012 JEEP BUT THE CRUTCHFIELD ADVISER SAID I HAD TO HAVE IT AND HE WAS RIGHT!
Pros: LOOKS GOOD AND FILLS THE HOLE SO NO GAPS
Looks great in my 2009 dodge charger.
Pros: Easy install
Fit my 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited perfectly. As Crutchfield's notes it does require removal of an internal piece of the plastic dash for double din/dual single unit installs.
Pros: Fits perfect Matches factory radio bezelled design on sides.
Worked well once I found screws in my own stash that fit. The screws supplied did not reach the threads on all but two of the screw holes and even then I had to really press hard to the point I felt I might actually break the plastic. I found screws in my tool box that fit so I was able install without having to go to the hardware store.
Pros: good fit,east to install
Cons: screws were too short, had to rummage for screws that fit.
Gave it 4 stars on appearance
Pros: Fits good
Cons: A little weak
This is not the right mount for a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport Edition. I ended up having to go to a local electronics retailer in the middle of an installation.
Pros: Free with purchase of head unit.
Cons: Was not the right mount for my vehicle and head unit.Crutchfield response on June 17, 2014 We forwarded this review to our Technical Support team for follow-up. Lifetime tech support comes with every Crutchfield purchase.
Fit my model of stereo nicely but in my 2013 dodge avenger not so much. Would've taken extra long screws and placing the unit an inch or two from my console to make it fit!
Pros: Wrapped around my stereo nicely
Cons: Did not fit In to my car at allCrutchfield response on June 11, 2014 We forwarded this review to our Technical Support team for follow-up. Lifetime tech support comes with every Crutchfield purchase.
Installed into a 2012 Ram 1500. Kit worked perfect.
Pros: Fits good on receiver
Cons: Doesnt fit flush with my dash
fit perfect, not drilling, no cutting, looks great
works well easy to use
Pros: works as it is suppose to
Great product. Works well.
Pros: It is very easy to assemble to radio
Cons: It could be made a little sturdier, it can be a little flimsy. Maybe made from from metal, otherwise it still works perfectly.
Works as described
Looks good and if it came from the factory.
Pros: Perfect fit for double din radios.
Makes the aftermarket stereo look great in the dash of my 2011 wrangler.
Pros: Looks great
Cons: install instructions should of said remove metal bracket holding stock stereo.
These parts are intended to fill the gap between the Sony WX-BT90BT and the dash cover panel but the dash has a slight tumble home curve and the supplied kit is flat. The result prevents securing the cover panel near the top. I'm going to see what can be done to modify the part to get both sides to conform to the shape. They are also warped so they don't fit tightly to the sides of the radio unit.
Cons: Not well design warped
Looks great and holds my stereo, but its fairly soft. I'd be worried about over tightening and splitting the slots. Once you get the proper location figured out, it looks just like the dash plastic, at least in my 2014 wrangler.
Pros: Slick and oem looking.
Cons: soft, seems fragile.
Easy to install. Great product!
Pros: looks nice
This came with my order of a Pioneer FH-X700BT for our 2008 Town And Country van. It looks good, fills the space around the stereo just right and holds everything in place like it should.
Pros: It fit perfectly and my wife says it made the stereo look like a factory install.
Cons: It looks like flimsy plastic BUT, now that it is installed, I never have to touch it again.
Super fast shipping and the install kit made the new radio I put in look like it was original equiptment.
Pros: Fast shipping good quality
This dash receiver kit worked great and holds my new double din stereo firmly in place and blend right into the rest of the dash.
Pros: Firm construction Many different screw holes which will allow this to be secured to virtually any steep Great price
Wow could not have fit better Looks like OEM
Cons: NO Cons
This kit came with my JVC headunit. I had to significantly alter these pieces ( and dash opening) with a Dremel tool. Mounting holes did not match perfectly, included screws need to be a little longer. With some patience, the complete install ended up looking great.
Pros: Free with order. Thanks Crutchfield!
Cons: Poor fit for JVC in a Jeep Wrangler but I made it work.
Perfect, attached to new Pioneer head unit and looks good in double din opening,Crutchfield is the best!
Pros: Does its job
I installed this in my 2010 Ram 1500. It fits and looks decent in the truck. The plastic that mounts to the side of the stereo is too thick. The screws that came with the stereo would not reach the through the plastic. Minor detail, had to go spend a few bucks a Lowe's for longer screws but just irritating because it delayed my install a couple hours. If the plastic needs to be that thick to hold the weight of the stereo then they should provide screws with the kit.
Pros: Looks and fits pretty good in the truck
Cons: Should include screws long enough to go through the chunky plastic sides.
Simple and easy
Good product.. was easy to put in...
Looks great, fills the opening and gives the receiver a factory look.
Pros: Fits great, Looks great
Double din install in a 2011 dodge nitro...easy .....easy....easy.....metra is the best.
Pros: Metra always fits no matter what !
Used this on my 2012 Jeep JK, and it does not come with longer screws to attach to the sides of the receiver. And the screws for the receiver are too short to reach through the thick plastic of the bracket. Had to find some other screws, which did eventually work. Then bracket still did not fit 100%, had to do minor trimming to squeeze it in the Jeeps dash. Once it was all in, it still leaves some gaps that don't help it to look professionally installed. All in all, it worked with some modifications, but not happy about how much extra time it took to install my receiver using this bracket.
Pros: It was free...
Cons: No screws to replace short screws that come with receiver, does not fit 100% and requires trimming of the kit and/or dash, does not look professional once installed fully.
It fit great and looks great, I just wish it came with screws.
Pros: Fit good looks good
Cons: No hardware
This kit will get the job done, but its not a perfect fit so you won't get that factory look. Unfortunately its the only one available so it's not like you have a choice.
Fit in my Jeep like a Glove!!!
Pros: Perfect Fit and fin adjusters
Cons: Need more screws
Easy to use and fit perfect in my 2007 Dodge Nitro.
Pros: Fit great and easy to use!
Cons: No cons.
Its a great radio system. The price was good and customer service was great. Only thing is the clock on the radio needs to be bigger and it needs to show when you have the navigation going
Pros: Price and easy to use
Cons: Clock needs to be bigger and show when navigation is going
instuction noy good when using a full size deck. the back bracket had to be cut out not pulled out like instuctions said.
Pros: good looks
Cons: a little work to get in
This couldn't have been any better
Pros: Appearance matches my vehicle appearance. Doesn't look cheap.
Kit doesn't make it fit flush and very few to no adjustments can be made
Pros: It's their
Cons: Wished it made everything came from the factory. But there are Gaps on the side , we even tried to shim it. but to no avail....
Easy install. Looks factory
Installed in 4th gen ram. Kinda flimsy but worked as needed. Wish the back was molded closed b/c if you look at the right angle you can see back into the dash.
Pros: Worked as described
Cons: Wish the back was molded closed.
I read reviews on these about them being plastic and flimsy and was a little worried, but after screwing them to the radio and doing the install it's probably a good thing they are plastic. In my particular case snapping the dash panel back on seemed like it would have more difficult if these were rigid metal. They kind of bend according to how you need to snap the dash back on and i think that made it easier...
Pros: Easy install..looks good...free w/purchase
Cons: screws could have been a bit longer, but they work as long as they don't work themselves loose
Used the kit to install a Kenwood KNX5190 in my 2012 Jeep Liberty. Overall the kit worked but I would have liked the plastic to have been of a more "automotive quality " grade material. The adapter seems to be a bit flexible ( possiably not a bad thing ??).
Pros: nice looking
You have to adjust the screws on the side a little bit to get a flush look between the dash and the receiver, but it looks great afterwards.
Not very well made, kind of flimsy. Hardware should be included because the screws that came with my unit were too short so I had to go buy some longer ones.
the kit fits almost perfectly, face of the double DIN unit is perfectly flush and looks great. only problem is there are small gaps on either side of the face where you can kinda see into the dash. I took advantage of these and installed some LED's to gently light the sides of the unit at night.
Pros: easy to install
Cons: slight gaps on either side of the face.
I installed this bracket on a double din pioneer dvd on my 09 charger. it did not fit flush or correctly. screw holes sat slightly higher than it should. i ended up boring out the screw holes so the unit could sit slightly lower. it fits correctly now but it looks kinda cheapo. i would pay a few bucks to get a higher quality bracket.
Pros: easy to install. Free
Cons: Cheap looking. not an exact fit. doesnt look flush.
No info from Crutchfield on the install. There is no fact sheet available for the 2011 Patriot. So, I had to rely on on-line sources to get things put together. Note: for a double DIN on a Patriot... There is a bracket in the dash that has to be removed before installation. Some places said cut it out, but it is held in with 4 screws. Remove those and a little force and determination, the bracket will come out.
Pros: Hold the unit well
Cons: gaps along edges, but could be worse.
This worked to mount an Pioneer App Radio in my 2010 Challenger.
Pros: Looks clean
Cons: If you tighten this up, the lines get screwed up, I had to keep my loose. One other detail, is that my stock stereo bay had 4 tabs that kept a double din stereo from fitting. With a wood saw and a utility knife, all the tabs came off and my radio fit great.
Give the unit you're installing a nice clean finished look.
This was for a 2011 jeep wrangler and double din pioneer head unit and I'm not that happy with the fit! It doesnt sit flush to the head unit so it makes it kinda bow out a little. It also seems flimsy. I think I'm gonna take it out and modify it which sorta defeats the purpose of having this!
Adapters work real well makes the AVIC-F700BT fit like a glove.
