You can move the receiver in or out the bracket for better fit but if you are using after market steering control conection its goin to be a tight fit. You need to acomodate the cables or connector to the left or right side behind the a/c vents to make it fit more flush. Be patient and play with the receiver mounting screw holes forward or backward. I know the fit on Tacomas is really tight! Usually the especial application receivers are the ones that give no hassle or are the recomended one, but are more expensive! Hope this helps! Good luck

Absolutely nothing. I had the same problem. It never fit as it should. To this day it looks odd and there were no other options.

I had to make multiple adjustments in order for the cover to fit properly. Try loose fitting the head unit then applying the cover. Sometimes you can see where you need to have the head unit sit for the cover to be visually correct. It is my understanding that there is typically a little bit of dead space above the unit that may need a filler.

It fit my 2012 Tacoma, my truck is a base model, no features, we now have a 2015 tacoma that is fully loaded, it would be a different kit due to the different factory head unit

Fit well on my 2012 Tacoma. Just a warning on the pieces, they're all plastic and break easy

I bought this for the Alpine ILX-107 and it worked great in my 2013 double cabe, TRD off-road model using factory, non-navigaton, sound system. I was able to use parts of all the installation kits Crutchfield said to get for my Alpine deck and get everything installation except for the backup camera and existing microphone. These don't connect to the normal cabling. I also needed to change how the Alpine programming is done using the parking brake. It might be different for your new deck. Crutchfield helped with the programming change. Good luck!

I used it for a 2013 TRD Sport Tacoma. It worked great for my install. If your dash is similar, it should work.

Q
is there any dash kits that will work with my 2013 Tacoma with the Kenwood DNX890HD? This kit sent with my order doesn't work at all. You would have to cut too much out to get it too work. Any Idea what I can do would hate to have to return my order. Thank You Jeff V
