Amazing

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This product is perfect. Fits in without a hitch, and is made to fit both single and double din applications. I only wish i could snap the middle piece back in for a single din application, but for this price i'd just buy another one for the change. Matter of fact, i'm probably gonna do that, so i'd already have it. It also helped that crutchfield delivered so fast. I almost thought they were next door, it showed up quickly.

Pros: Amazing color, functionality is impressive and install is idiot proof. Delivery was impeccable!

Cons: None

Dash kit worked very well and it was easy to use.

Pros: Fit well

Cons: It didn't have the mounting screws I needed but no big deal.

Please consider other options first:

The only reason that I even installed this pile of junk is because I did not see the scratched paint, faded/under done paint, and the poor security of the radio to it until I had it halfway in the dash. Metra had a good name, so I was not thinking too much about it. Even the traction control buttons at the bottom fit too loose. Do your research before settling with this kit. When I am ready to pull the radio so that I can run my RCA cables I am going to consider purchasing a different kit and seeing if that looks better.

Pros: It came with the radio that I bought and it went back into the dash with a good fitment.

Cons: Poor molding, bad fitment of the components that come off of the stock dash piece, and the paint was scratched/ not thick enough in noticeable areas.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This kit came free for buying a head deck but I personally would not buy it again, the color was off just a little and has slight cheap look It does how ever work as intended lots of mounting option to fit any stereo if your not looking for a factory look its fine.

Pros: Everything fit correctly it does work and with out it my stereo would just be hanging out my dash.

Cons: Paint scratches kind of easily, if you look close in the cracks and crevices you can see paint was not applied evenly its lighter, you can tell that it was sprayed. Mine had no instructions either so it took a sec to figure out which brackets to use

I guess for the cost its fine, it fits well and looks ok to the untrained eye. I would have happily paid double or triple to get something that had the brushed metal look of the stock piece.

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: Finish could be nicer

Okay Product

It looks nice in vehicle. The matte finish is nice but scratches off easily on corners. Easy to install and my Kenwood KDC-BT952HD fits just fine.

Pros: Fits nice.

Cons: Cheap construction.

I really like the this kit!

This kit goes well with the interior of my car.

Pros: The quality of this kit is great and to get it free with my receiver was was even better!

Cons: Doesn't have the silver trim like the factory original.

The trim is a clean look. Way different with out the 50 buttons. Only thing is that clips for the trim could stick alot better. But I installed it my self and I am far from a mechanic.

Pros: Clean look

Cons: Clips fall off. *im not a mechanic though*

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

You have a Ford Fusion. You have a new double-din receiver. It's either this bezel or the one competitor that costs exactly the same. Managing this piece was the hardest part of my install. Getting the mounting brackets to snap in took a full hour of cursing at myself and thing. The end result, though, looks nice and fits the trim well, so other than nightmares that I was going to have an open dash for the rest of my car-ownership, this worked out.

Pros: Fits well with trim

Cons: Really hard to install

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

It works great with my pioneer avh-p3400bh. The blue matches my interior trim so I lucked out. The only thing I didn't like was putting the side plates which was a big pain in the butt. Luckily I had a clamp that was able to clip it on the dash kit. I would recommend this product.

Pros: affordable, matched interior trim.

Cons: putting the plates to the dash kit was a pain

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Does not fit the DD kenwoods with the motorized screen, ended up breaking the guide rails on my brand new DNX 9980HD trying to get it to fit. Also the radio bolts directly to the adapter plate and a DD headunit is a little to heavy to be supported by just a flimsy piece of plastic. Even tho Crutchfield supplied the kit for free with purchase of a headunit, it's not worth it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS KIT, it's junk. Spend the money and get the scosche kit instead.

I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: The climate display is actually separate from the receiver unit and will be retained in its same location. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. [ Krissy  Mar 11, 2014 ]  Staff
I have a 2005 F150. I do not have climate control. There is no read out for it on my truck. Sorry. [ LAURANCE M  Mar 10, 2014 ]
That part won't change, same place [ john  Mar 10, 2014 ]
The top LCD screen stays put and you just swap the climate controls over from your OEM Trim piece to the Kit.. Just be careful it is easy to nick the finish on the install kit. [ GEORGE  Mar 10, 2014 ]
Not sure about the 2012 model, and not sure what climate control exactly is, but if your referring to an external temperature display on the console that displays the clock, radio volume and active input (FM/AM/AUX...) then you might lose this if you use the PAC controller to keep your steering wheel controls. In my install the stock display console now only shows "DVD" and whatever, if any, the last steering wheel control pressed. There is another controller from iDataLink but I was not able to determine if that one would work with my 2011 Ford Fusion SE. [ Greg  Mar 10, 2014 ]
hi brain, I installed a doubled din in my girlfriends car a 2010 ford fusion Se with sync and steering wheel controls, it doesn't have climate control but I would assume bc it's displayed on the lcd screen above the radio that is not removed so it (in theory) will work the same way. Now If u have navigation I would keep the stock radio and run a box converter for rca's. I begun to realize there is nothing like stock especially with the sync system working with radios, I believe, they haven't mastered working with sync [ Andrew  Mar 10, 2014 ]
The factory display stays where it is. You just relocate it to the new dash kit. My fusion did not have digital climate controls or factory navigation. My temp did not display from my radio. It displayed on the mini display above the screen for the radio buttons. The only thing my display did was tell me what radio station I was on and give me the temp and compass. Hope this helps [ John  Mar 10, 2014 ]
