Will this work to install a Pioneer FH-X700BT in a 2002 Mazda Protege 5?

The answer is yes, as long as your car came from the factory with a double DIN opening.

Sorry but I'm not sure. Just make sure to read the instructions that they email because the instructions in the package made no sense for my CR-V.

Q
How do you use the rear support? I have a single din pioneer deck and never figure out where to screw it in.

I'm not sure if it's necessary with a single DIN, but I've used it with a double DIN before. The stereos I've used never came with a screw that fits so I had to buy a separate screw, to get it to work. Fortunately, the screw size was the same as one I had on my TV mount, so I was able to find a match pretty easily. I drilled a hole in the tip of the plastic support that came with the bezel to put the screw through. It's purpose is to keep the stereo from tilting up or down since it would otherwise only be held in place by the plastic clips on the bezel.
